Why are f14 still 12.3?

Youre funny.

Skill issue more than enough, when guy cant evade phoenix.

It’s a hyperbole (I hope) to describe the people who want the tomcat to go up and than look at the missile like this rather than notching

I told you i have no issues evading fox 3, i found the wt tutorial as soon as it was out on youtube and it works like a charm. My question is more about why was usa tech tree given this kind of advantage when others dont.

I play mirage all day long i agree. Wait there is f4 with fox3? but shit radar i presume?

Others have R-27ER for example

The radar is good on the F-4 ICE, but everything else about the plane is outclassed by its american peers.

IMO KWS radar slaps, but then again i have only german TT radars and F-4S to compare them to lmao.

ICE/KWS as the other dude said.

Its fine imho, just dont have ARH launched at you in frontal aspect under 10km.

Then again im massive sucker for ICE so i might be a little biased.

Everything is counter-able; by your logic, if you die, it is a skill issue. Great thinking forums warrior!

modified AN/APG-65 radar, same that is found in the F-18

yeah, i can. because in my opinion this shit is not belong in this game at all. i can understant fox3 circus on top tier, where everyone getting it one way or another, but not that lower, where first half of the match its pretty much f14 vs f14, while everyone else is trying to just avoid being hit with their shit, which is even tracking through anything, surface, mountain, anything.

thats what premiums are for. and id say if gaijin would tear of his bombs and rockets, leaving just missiles, there would be MUCH less of them sold. id dare to say most of them wouldnt be bought.

it is me that is wrong with arb, right? not its rules or ways. got it.

Gay+rabid+beautiful_69ffe4_11809107

provide proof then. Im sure if it happens as often as you claim, you can provide several replays at once, which can in turn be submited to gaijin as bug report to get immidiately fixed :)

something tells me you dont have them tho.

Ive been spading Bis SAU for the past week, plane that has SPO-10 for rwr, and i havent died to phoenix once. what the actual f are people doing that they get killed by them?

premiums arent here to enable zombing ya dingus.

Premiums are here to provide vehicles, sometimes unique ones, that primarily offer increased SP and RP reward to players, secondarily access to certain tier/BR without need to have TT vehicles at similiar tier/BR, usually in exchange for money.

How player uses those vehicles is up to him. Some of them can be even bombers, like german premium tornado, but they arent here primarily to enable zombing.

To be entirely fair there are planes such ad F-104s… and Tornadoes… and some maps are flat like my desk…

Also also… forget it if you have BOL pod chaff because according to Gaijin that thing also sucks

(Nado F.3 is a pain in the arse to dodge Phoenixes in. It can be done but it’s not exactly easy)

The BOL Flares being so heavily nerfed is frustrating but I can almost forgive it for balancing reasons. The Chaff nerfs though make absolutely no sense to me at all and really need to be reverted. (That being said. BOL flares should at minimum be buffed up to standard flares if the large calibre flares they should be is too OP)

Tornadoes have chaff and a digital RWR.
Small chaff countermeasures are 1/4th the intensity of large caliber, so you need to use more for the same result.
And bringing chaff in BOL means less BOL flares which helps.

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/B8OvCzjZ7E91

BOL Chaff is about 1/4 the strenght it should be. At best it should be identical performance to standard calibre chaff and at worse slightly worse than standard calibre chaff (it depends on whether the weight difference in contribute to the use of plastic instead of metal for the casing or for the actual payload amount) in either case. BOL Chaff is without a doubt underperforming.

When combined with the placeholder Flight model of the Tornados which significantly nerfs the instantaeous turn rate of the Tornado. Getting into the notch succesfully is much harder than it should be and thus defeating SARH/ARH missiles can be quite difficult. or at the very least, far harder than it should be

As a final honourable mention. We should also be able to swap 1x Aim-9 out for a Phimat pod to add an additional 210 chaff on the airframe.

It impacted chaff as well? Interesting.

Yep… BOL is in a fairly dismal state currently. Unfortunately gaijin are looking only at the Gripen and thus the F3, SHar, F-14, Viggen, etc are all suffering currently.

How many times do we need to remind american mains that phoenixes are extremely potent force multipliers? They allow one player to disrupt multiple opponents from a range where they can launch with impunity. Those opponents either die or are forced to waste time and energy deviating from the pack to take evasive action. This breaks up the size of the enemy formation and places them at a numerical disadvantage when both teams merge in the center of the match. This force multiplier effect makes the phoenix one of the most powerful missiles in the game for influencing the outcome of a match even if every single phoenix misses.

The only thing halfway keeping the phoenix in check is that most modes have mixed matchmaking, so you have phoenixes on both sides of the battlefield working in roughly equal measure against each other. In simulator battles USA has had an overwhelming advantage for years, and it shows with the abysmal state of people queuing for red team vs blue team in sim lobbies.
