Why are f14 still 12.3?

Go cold, chaff, bob and weave. Rinse and repeat.

Well, i last weeks, my favourite aircrafts is TomcatB, and YaK-141.

If ain’t get uptiersd - both of them full of fun.

Tomcat can spam Phoenixes (and, sometimes (after sales mostly) it even getting me free -4/5/6).
Sometimes i go funny, and pinch enemies (base bombers) by Sparrows/Phoenixes with hard lock, from 4-5km altitude (negating multipath).

141, just have very good radar, and 27R/ER, T/ET.
But i use preferably R/ER, and hunt on Tomcats.
Boyos just lock the highest flying target (me), and when time is come, i deflect 3-5 Phoenixes, by notch/getting backwards.

Then, just rearrive, and get short work of those Tomcats/AV-8B, who think that i run out.
And finish anyone else, using altitude and good radar/missiles.
The only one rule - dont get in dogfights.
You - only one on enemies bombing flank.
Noone will save your ass.
And while you will chasing/evading 2/3/4 F-4S/Mirages/Tomcats, some of them will get lucky to MM2/gun you down.

Spoiler

Seal clubbing you say… AV-8B is your highest performance.
F-14A and Mig-23ML are tied.

You aren’t seal clubbing with your F-14A yet you tell others to.

nothing. i know i can avoid phoenix, but that avoidance costs too much. also i hate it when its just an easy game for one side and jumps through the hoops for the other. that missile shouldnt exist in the game, not on that br level.

I swear theres like 4 topics on the F-14. I would recommend learning how to defeat them instead of posting first.

10 second costing too much?
Why you playing video games then?

well there is absolutely nothing i can do to them, if they wont come to me themselves.

Im personally ok with it. Its a 16G missile with extra range, but thats it.

Ive outsniped tomcats with 27ERs on multiple occasions, albeit that was back in may last year when max BR was 12.0.

At one point or other, players gave to eventually start learning how to deal with radar missiles and BVR combat.

16G missile Is good enough or that. They either adapt or perish.

10 seconds? how many times do i need to throw out those 10 seconds? every time ive got locked i need to get lost somewhere, to avoid imaginary missile since i cant tell if that thing was launched at me or not. if im not running and it WAS launched - im dead. when i see it and rwr alerting me its too late to do anything.

Wow, maximum of 60 seconds per plane, and only if all missiles goes into you.

You seem inexperienced at high tier planes. You don’t even need to turn cold to dodge a Phoenix. Its a fat and heavy missile, cranking maneuvers will work against it. That or abusing multipath or just notching. After the first wave of Phoenixes they’re no longer effective. Launching them any closer would render them ineffective because they require a lot of time to accelerate ideally at higher altitudes because its a big missile with a lot of drag.

yeah. there is a way. being a rat behind a mountain. or go through all those notches and shit. the problem is: its making my phantom a pure fighter. absolutely unenjoyable one. i hate the idea, that my jet is nerfed by a player, who dont need to develop absolutely no skill whatsoever to make me run in a wheel.
btw 27ER can outsnipe aim120a with some luck. 7F cant do anything against f14, if they wont come to me.

matches are several minutes long with half the time is flying towards each other.

thats a facepalm.

on a missile bus? ive tried actually. if i didnt shake that thing before it came to 7km or so - im dead.
multipath is nonexistent. that ive tried too obviously - the missile exploded near me on the ground EACH goddamn time. one time ive even survived in a crippled plane. for some time.

So your complaint is you have to play a fighter like fighter… In air RB…

Did the train just roll in from stupid town?

yeah. thats how youve got here it seems.
versatility is a selling point of phantoms.

Im personally doing ok with F-4S and KWS against F-14s.

I played F-4F in air RB back when F-5E was added and i use it mostly in ground rb for CAS so i dont know how it fares.

If I can dodge an Aim-7F in a Phantom then you can dodge a Phoenix.

a lot of times you dont even need to dodge a 7F. it will miss all on its own on straight flying target, with full missile and radar locks.

Don’t derail. The point is that the Phoenix is an easy missile to dodge. If I can dodge an Aim-7F that is working and not wandering off to space, then you can dodge a Phoenix.
