Why all the Israeli composites are only made from NERA?

I know the Israeli armor is somehow more classified, but why is it just NERA? If all the other MBTs had just NERA, I’m sure that their armor would have been at least 40% worse than now. Basically all the MBTs have classified armor, and they are not 100% true in the game as in reality, they get a normal composite armor, so why the Israeli tanks dont get them?

I guess because they only uses NERA?

I never seen a picture of a Merkava post-service with missing parts of the hull armor, maybe some missing side skirts.

But you just described the reason of no composite: it’s classified.

Every country has classified composites, they know that if they give Israel just NERA it will be wrong, why cant they at least give some layers of RHA for example?

Israel didn’t really use NERA much. They used SLERA (still not present ingame) on the Mk.3 & Mk.4 Merkavas, as well as on the Sabra Mk.3. Gaijin just modeled it wrong and refuse to add SLERA as an armor type…

“Composite armour with NERA elements” is just a simplification, the composition will include a lot of materials, but it’s just boiled down to NERA and assigned a protection value in the games code, and Gaijin would not want to publicise anything close to the actual composition since that would risk breaching state secrets.

I swear if gaijin would add a layer of 50mm RHA to the Merkava Mk4 turret, with such a crazy angles it got, all the turret issues would have been fixed with total extra LOS(from front) of 190-200mm just with such a small thing.

Actually it is missing around 50mm of somekind of armor type tho 😂 just look in the picture
