Wheres the ECM POD Gaijin

Do any planes have ECM? I mean there is IRCCM on the frogfoots but thats not really to the extent that ECM is. Besides IRCCM on jets is a gimmick since they still hit the aircraft from my experience, just getting a lock can be frustrating but once its off the rail is an easy kill.

Yeah, Su27/J11 do have a default ECM pod on wing tips that are not able to be taken off, so in other words it’s like essentially not an ECM pod but just a ECM device (which no one uses even IRL, as seen by J11B/Su35 taking it off). These things are part of the model and they can’t not model it as if they are able to be removed.

I meant like functioning ECM, of which im pretty sure there isnt any.

No planes have ECM ingame yet.

not a single aircraft or ground vehicle or even ship has ECM in this game, where did you get that from?

Radar code is modified IR code, and ECM will require more than just modification of existing code I predict.

No they haven’t…

Maybe they though the IRCM which is on Su-25T, Su-39 and some helicopters?

probably, even then that’s on a lot of helis lol

Namely the Russian ones… They do count as ECM but rather than radio waves infra red.

whiskey cobra, viper and apaches have them too off the top of my head, cant open the game rn, and those make up the majority of helis in-game that aren’t russian

I don’t think they do although I have not played them cause I have killed loads of them with PL5B. But even if they do, surprise surprise who is the only one that got it modelled? Ka52.

Weird of you to make false statements…
Unless you mean as part of the damage model and are claiming Ka-52 is “nerfed” compared to the other vehicles.

Yes but I have 0 trouble locking onto AH64s whilst Ka 52 is just a load of trouble (non irccm)
I haven’t killed that many Ka 52s just by virtue of them having 9M127 and outranges me.

AH64A/Ds don’t have IRCM IRL or in-game.
On top of that, HRSS does not function in-game at all at this time.

I know HRSS doesn’t work but it’s just the fact that it is pretty much the only one that really does have IRCM modelled except the other Russian planes (Su25s)

Having it on the damage model doesn’t mean anything other than it can be damaged.
AH-1W, Mi-24P, Ka-52, OH-58D, MH-60, AH-129D, AH-60… are some of the aircraft with IRCM; just most don’t have them as part of the damage model.

Is that so?

Explain to me what this is then

All three of US Apaches have that in game as well

No tail number to determine which Apache that was.
You also have to remember that 1- I always speak about base models, and 2- Apache models have blocks and modifications.

“95037” or “…87”

The point is
IRL, Apache has the ALQ-144 IRCM (nicknamed the “Hot Brick”)
Above one should be AH-64D albeit without the Longbow radar

All three Apaches have the ALQ-144 in game, you can check

Oh and this point is kind of moot, especially when you have F-14A and F-4E being mashups of few different blocks
