MIG 23s are like the biggest cause of compression right now moving them down is not what they need they need to go up tho the F104s with no radar missiles could move down F111s and the ASA just need the mig 23s gone from the br and they be fine
Spoiler
this guy does good videos on each of them at there brs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8LURYO20CE
F111 is insane for speed and f104 has other missiles and speed
F111 is a good dogfighter too for the br with flaps and manual wing sweep of needed
Mig-23s are 100% decompressed right now.
Mig-23s can’t go up because Mig-23s are the only reason 11.7 exists as a BR right now.
If Mig-23s go up, so do all 11.3s in order to fill the hole left in the BR.
F-111F is also marginally better at dogfighting.
R24R of doom and despair literally better than most missiles of the br
Skyflash of doom and despair is literally better than most missiles of the BR. /s
R24R is not special.
I doubt the F4F would be up to 11.7 considering the fact the MiG 23 gets R60s AND R24s
R-60s are far worse than AIM-9Ls.
And even if F-104S ASA was moved to 11.7 where I think it should be, it’s still the same loadout.
F-4F going to 11.7 is not my opinion, it’s a probable consequence based on the BRs of other jets.
Where are the AIM-9Ls for the British Phantoms?
(at least the German Phantom(s) have leading-edge slats)
another post ignoring the fact they have better engines
-at low altitude.
Making them pretty vulnerable and easy to hit from top-down attacks or BVR.
Trying to scrape the ground and multipath every launched missile with better engines and wait for enemy jets to head-on you while in ACM mode isn’t really a viable tactic in the British F-4 either, since the terrain can differ in slopes, buildings and trees, forcing you to have to react faster with higher speed to incoming threats than other Phantom contemporaries with worse engines.
If the British Phantoms had an HMD (which they don’t), this wouldn’t be that much of an issue.
The AIM-9Ls would merely give them a slight edge in close-range engagements with better IR missiles, whilst being stuck with AIM-7E-2 equivalent Skyflashes, while the other F-4 Phantom variants have better SARH missiles overall.
Also the premium F-4J (UK) also doesn’t have the upgraded Spey engines.
I dont think you understand how much of a difference that makes
they already have massively improved SEP along with much better acceleration
and sky flash isnt exactly an AIM-7E2 equivalent either because it has a slightly better seeker but importantly a much larger proxy radius, which makes it much harder to roll than any sparrow
no
if anything the difference is more noticeable at high altitude
