Where is the PL-8B in the J-10A?

Why can’t Gaijin tell the difference between PL-8B and PL-8? One has IRCCM and the other doesn’t. The funniest thing is that there is no picture of J-10A using PL-8, only PL-8B. Gaijin still equips J-10A with 1980’s AAM.

Where is the Python 4 in the F-15C(Baz), F-16D(Barak 2), F-16C(Barak 2) then?

It is PL8B already, it’s just that GAIJING is ignorant to realise that PL8 (python 3) has a transparent seeker.

They should all come together, but J10 has 2 problems, 1 the current in game model is PL8B and second J10 never used PL5.

The J-10A ingame is the early variant, so possibly the late variants will get it

The J-10 ingame has a PL-5B with IRCCM. It simply doesn’t make sense in-game or IRL to use the PL-8. It loves flares, always has. No one will be using it over the PL-5B they’ve added this patch.

This isn’t some woe is me Israel topic. No one asking for PL-8B on the J-10 would be against them adding Python 4 to the jets you’ve listed. We’re all on the same side here.

Where is my AIM-9X on the F-16C and F-15C? And where are my AIM-120C-5 and D?

Bro, you have the PL-5EII with IRCCM

It never carried pl5’s.

Yeah I have seen absolutely ZERO evidence of the J10 even being capable of mounting the PL-5 and it’s variants. I’ve only ever seen it equipped with PL-8 and it’s variants, as well as some mockups with PL-9 I believe.

I dont think that is the issue. The issue is that the J-10A carries PL5II in the game, which it never carried IRL. And if we took the PL5II away, it would be stuck with the PL-8, which do not have IRCCM, and it also only carried the 8B variant. The issue isn’t that the missile isn’t here yet (as in with the AIM-9X or the AIM-120C-5), but rather that the missiles they implemented is historically wrong, and both options are wrong.

Seeing as the Python 4 is considerably more advanced than the PL-8B and outperforms it in every possible way, that is an absurd comparison to make. Israel already has the AIM-9M. They do not need Python 4 until equivalent ordnance is introduced (such as the PL-10, AIM-9X block 1, R-73M).

The main point of this thread is to make it clear; China’s being given an a-historical armament in favor of a historical one that would otherwise be perfectly balanced.

When there’s AIM-9X, IRIS-T, ASRAAM, and R-74M

In fact there are no PL8 in game (as they are all python 3) and all models are PL8B.

Where is my dual colour multi element seeker that ignores all but pyrolytic flares? Where are my guided bombs on air intake pylons?

They just announced PL-8B possible :)

The Smin post? Yeah I saw that, I mean they could just copy and paste every single PL8 currently in game into a full white python 3, and then the current PL8 model turns into PL8B.
