We had the better gripen for a while too, sweden only had the A version for some time. Call it compensation for how awful 8.0-11.7 was for years

Our issue is more from overtiering over lack of choice however. The vampire being worse than the attacker but a whole BR higher is crazy and you just have to try and use the hunter at 9.7 to get how atrocious it still is

-Britain is already getting the Eurofighter Typhoon, which is looking to be the second strongest top tier ingame, and they do not need it.
-France however, has a history of its vehicles being added to tech trees which don’t need it, and France itself lacking many vehicles it produces. Add to that how overtiered and wrongly modeled French vehicles are, and you have a nation that is probably the most gimped in war thunder. Let France have something for ONCE.

I strongly disagree with adding the indian rafale to the british tech tree. They already have the swedish’s top tier jet in their nation’s tech tree. Claiming france’s top tier plane also for them is straight up wrong, that way top tier players/enjoyers wont have any incentive to play said nations because they’d have nothing in top tier to offer that isn’t in the british tree.
I understand the gripen was to give the british a top tier plane but now that they have the eurofighter too, the rafale is just unnecessary.
What will be the next, claiming the canadian cf-188 (f/a 18 c) and the australian f/a 18 f when they come because they were also colonies in the past? this is wrong guys please see that, it’s taking away the point of choosing a tree for its domestic or imported planes.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m in favor of the subtrees as the hungarian for italy, the finnish for sweden or the new royal thai air force for japan, as it adds a little variety to some real minor nations but british aint a minor nation. I repeat, the gripen was an isolated case where the british needed a top jet and the south african colony made it possible but just because it was needed.

I suppose Britain could use an actually competitive top tier plane :^)
And of course, France can get an Austrian Eurofighter to go alongside their Austrian tank.
(just to be clear britain shouldn’t get a rafale and france shouldn’t get a eurofighter, its both unnecessary and… just why?)
