Only really played the US tree up till now with the IRAF F-14 (Fakours go brrrr), and recently the F15A.
However im debating if i wanna look at other options if i want better overall flight performance (energy retention, turn speed, acceleration, etc) along with possibly better missiles and a HMD.
Do any planes in particular meet these requirements? Or so long as i get the 9M missiles, does the F15A hold its own compared to others?
Kinda just stuck to US cause i liked the BVR gameplay but wanna try something new.
f15A is often remarked as one of the worst 13.0 but you do have some redeeming factors such as a bunch of CM a decent flight model and your pretty fast. compared to a su27 also at your BR, which has HMD, IRST, best fox1’s and fox2’s ingame with less CM comparable flight model but it is a bit slower.
if you want something this good agility and energy retention you can always go the f16 route but you wont get many CM or a HMD until the C but you get amraams at 13.3 which are good for the BR but youll be uptiered into rafale hell. the US tree just currently isnt in a good place due to many nerfs, underperforming amraams
F-15A is one of the better 13.0s, but if you want a dogfighter go for an F-16. They have an excellent flight model with good energy retention and overall decent performance for the BR. The 12.3 one is arguably undertiered, and the 13.3/13.7 ones are fine IMO.
lowest win rates ingame btw, and they only BR the US is good for in top tier is 13.7 but thats if you face other 13.7’s. anywhere else your just outclassed with everything having either better missiles, fight performance, better radars, better rwrs and even maws.
