I suspect my M829 has expired because two consecutive rounds failed to destroy an A7V’s basket.
Lmao
When I was in the military 15 years ago, we used (just for training) grenades manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s. Unexploded ordnance was very rare
😉
The first round did as expected.
Only fragments hit the basket floor.
Second round was too low for crew, too high for the basket floor it seems.
Did I remember it wrong? I recall that for Leopard tanks and the M1, you don’t need to hit the bottom of the turret basket to damage the turret rotation mechanism. Damaging any part of the basket should be able to knock it out.
It looks like I need to accelerate the development of the M829A2, because the M829 that Gaijin equipped on my M1A2 SEP might be completely expired.
Just btw, you can take out an Abram’s hori drive my meerly shooting its tracks.
Abrams is clearly one of the best toptier tanks /s
what is that sl number ? does it say 1300million ? am i crazy ?
Oh i see now thanks
I accidentally wrote 13 lol
Correct is 1301万 (1301 myriad, or 13 million)
The average shelf life of a M829 APDSDS shell is two days ingame, after which it goes bad and will begin to nonpen things it shouldn’t such as sideskirts, turret rings on other Abrams, and the air. Buy premium account for never expiring M829 shells
I decided to use this post to record the ammunition dropped by magic, here there may be a lot of Russian tanks 🤔😑😂updated in the future.
That’s terrifying—a country that’s only powerful in video games 😨.
**The video ended showing the UE-1 hitting me because I had already backed behind a wall, but its armor-piercing shell still penetrated and hit me (that’s how I remember it, as I recall the crew was knocked out behind the wall—maybe it was due to ping? I didn’t check the replay because seeing certain tanks makes me sick).
its just 2a7 is a bad tank so that happends (according to german mains)
I destroyed the autoloader of a T-80UE-1 at 4:16 (it should stop loading, right? If my loader is hit, he not only stops loading but also puts the shell already in the loading process back into the ammo rack XD). The T-80UE-1 has a reload time of 6.0s. He fired at me at 4:13, so his next reload should have finished at 4:19. However, I destroyed his autoloader at 4:16, yet he fired again at 4:21??? Russian tanks should have their reload times set to the correct numbers, not secretly add disgusting mechanics.
I’ve recently been spending two-thirds of my War Thunder playtime on other forms of entertainment, and I’ve realized life is so much better without War Thunder 😌.
Wow, in the 7 hours I didn’t play War Thunder, did Gaijin update the KE-W with an auto-ammo-rack-seeking function?
A while back Gaijin made the door that protects the crew compartment destructible. The round (through some incredibly stupid physics on that pen angle) hit the door first, destroyed it, then hit the ammo. If the door is destroyed the blowout panels are useless. (Imo I hate that gaijin counts it as a single piece of armor when in reality it wouldn’t magically disappear)
I have absolutely no idea why his APFSDS round curved mid-air and flew straight into the ammo… I once said in another post that the M1’s only advantage was using gun depression to snipe others—now I take that back 🤣.
