Top Tier right now sucks a lot it needs some new tanks
The 2A7V’s only tangible upgrade over 2A5 is a new UFP for long-range engagements.
In closer ranges that UFP is superseded by the weakspots.
All for a marginal mobility nerf.
2PL is also just worse turret armor and round, obviously a 0.3 difference.
Also Type 10’s acceleration is closer to accurate than inaccurate.
Type 90’s acceleration however is over-performing according to videos presented.
T-80U’s and Centurion’s acceleration is heavily over-performing according to Swedish trials data.
Steering is down to clutch steering still being used for all tanks.
This is a reminder that you originally dismissed T-90M’s significant armor upgrade over T-80BVM, and notable over T-80U.
There’s less of an armor upgrade between 2A5 and 2A7V than there is between T-80U and T-90M.
So… the “only” tangible upgrade is -33% worth of frontally pennable surface area?
+The hull being fully coated in spall liners?
+3rd top definition thermals instead of the worthless blurry mess 1st gen’s are?
+Highest pen in Top Tier?

Imagine if M4A1 (76) W and M4A3E2 (W) were just 0.3 BRs away, and even then, at least those have the same firepower even.
You know VERY well that Type 10’s steering is messed WAY beyond the clutch steering system.
Every other tank can turn gradually and smoothly, as much as they can without regenerative steering.
Type 10 loses all of its speed and pulls a 180° turn for gently pressing A/D.

I’ve yet to see a vehicle I’ve shot live due to their spall liner.
It’s always been the same bad shots I’ve made on other tanks.
Thermal generation only matters for the American tech tree as an exception to the rule; that and I don’t see enough forest maps to utilize thermals like I use to. It’s mostly desert, snow, plains, or urban maps.
Abrams, Ariete, other Leopard 2s all sharing margin of error penetration.
The 2A7V is marginally less mobile for marginally more protection. I’ve been facing 2A7Vs since their release, and facing them has been no different than facing 2A5s.
Many bring hull ammo because 16 rounds isn’t enough security of mind, the turret crew is still bunched together, the turret ring still gets easily hit.
How can you claim that the whole middle hull section, that accounts for nearly 1/3rd of the frontal surface area, going from lol-pennable 450mm KE to unpennable 670mm KE is… “marginal”??? -_-
Because I’ve never shot the UFP of a Leopard 2 in-match.
LFP was always enough to hit driver to commander, OR idler wheel starboard side.
And if idler wheel port side was shown usually ammo if not ammo + 3 crew members.
Usually if the LFP was hidden so was the UFP, in which case I aimed for breach or I broke off and waited for a better attempt.
I come from using DM33 and M829 in most matches prior to A2’s addition, and that tactic just never changed because one tactic to rule them all is easier to have in my reflexes when I’m playing over 20 tanks at the top end using varied ammunition.
2A7 is a very tanky tank. Not only the spall liners on inside but also the overall outside armor too. I’ve even had instances of surviving direct hits from Kh-38MT missiles. and I’ve most often been killed with more than 1 shots frontally.
Later please. Let’s not have 12.3 T14.
It will definitely have a higher BR.

We will probably get an update with a 152mm mbt for Russia and some 140mm mbts for NATO nations that built them, knowing Gaijin they will most likely be at 12.3, and the Russian one will be extremely powerful and the only one that has armor to stop the 140mm darts, and after a while of backlash we will get some decompression to 13.0 (which should have already came with the new SAM systems anyway, subsonics and LGB only platforms facing BUK and ASTER is ridiculous)
Dont forget the +10 tons ERA package for an extra 100mm of HEAT protection, and 10mm for KE, and some extra antennas and a lawn chair on the turret

i think those are more likely going to be in an fomo event like the swiss leopard 2a4 prototype with an 140mm gun
i think they should balance the existing ones first; germany doesn’t need any new MBT at all at top tier and already has the strongest but they sit at the same BR as much weaker MBTs like ZTZ99A/VT4A1 or Ariete. those are nowhere near on par with the leopard 2a5/6/pso/7 or the strv’s but same BR and you even get more leopards than other nations have in total at top for their line up while others not only have less but weaker ones and those even still lack those like spall liners or correct reload etc.
KF51, Abrams X, T-14, ZTZ-100 etc i think will only get added in maybe like two-three years.
Leopard 2A8, M1A2 sepv3, ZTZ99B, T90M2 are more realistic to see soon but they need to pump up the max BR to like 14 or so then stuff like the PSO/2A7/2A8 can be 14BR, ZTZ’s maybe 13-13.3, M1A2 maybe 13.7-14BR, T-90s at 13.3-13.7 i guess
and the lower ones like leopard 2a4, ztz99-III and so can be 12BR then

When will a map made for top tier ground battles arrive? Last thing this game needs is another $80 premium MBT or even a TT MBT where players will get killed in it and quit the battle.
This game needs diverse maps suitable for top tier because what we have now isn’t that.

Why bother with prototyoes when there is a sci-fi level tank with a regiment already in service?
May I present, Merkava Siman 4 Barak. Third person thermals, super advanced warnong systems that tell you and your teammates where exactly the enemy is and what kind of enemy this is, the world’s best FCS, even more armor, a new generation of Trophy APS that can intercept almost anything, and more abilities that I will not tell you about because for now, they are classified (I am an IDF tank commander and I have a Siman 4 Bet, but I trained in the Barak).
But of course, since Gaijin still didn’t fix the Trophy bug for a year, and didn’t botheer giving the most armored tank series in history it’s armor, I doubt the Barak would make any difference in the game.

Yeah, the T14 is excellent, if you ignore the following things:
Unreliable and underpowered engine
Autoloader that’s slower and jams more often than a T90s
Second gen thermals from france
APS that doesn’t work even against TOWs, let alone spikes and NLAWs
Even a 2A4 is gonna curbstomp that. Then again, when looking at the KH-38 and the Havocs DLIRCM, I’d not be surprised if Gaijin just uses the advertisement material as “sources” and it’s gonna be one copium tank.
