When will Gaijin allow console players to have access to the Marketplace?

Tell us more, this sounds interesting.

Well basically when you have loading screen in your game, you have to show loading icon, not just black screen. But that icon has to be visible for atleast 3 seconds. So in some games, loading takes like 1 second but game has to show it for extra 2.

It appears a representative from Sony would disagree with you. It would be nice to get a response from someone at Gaijin who could confirm/deny their position on the matter. I truly believe if Gaijin was serious about adding this ability to the game, they could work out something with Microsoft and Sony to make it happen.

So, as of rn, Console players like you and I will not have access because of Gaijin’s own market’s currency, at least to my knowledge.

Youre dumb enough to think that Gaijin doesnt want this aswell? Are you that dumb?

It was a plausible story up until they implied that this wouldn’t be a thing for ANY game. That part undermines it and means Brienda doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Obviously you don’t have to OWN a game to have a say in things like this, they have the leverage of their contract and the fact that they can say “You don’t get to be on console” to use to make demands of all sorts.

It is possible that their specific contract might have not covered that (which is why you had me in the first half), but I’ve PERSONALLY seen contracts that do for other games as I work in the gaming industry, so when she acts like it doesn’t exist at all in general, that’s a bunch of nonsense. And calls into question her earlier claims as well.

A common point of contention is not so much the existence of a sale at all, but rather the details of who gets what cut of the revenue, when discounts exist (is their cut reduced as well? Or do they get a cut as if there wasn’t a sale? Blah blah. There’s often a lot of fighting about that, and they may not come to agreements, which would probably be the most likely cause of limited sales)

Wow, that is a great response. You must be a college graduate to have such an impressive, well-thought out response like that. Thanks for taking the time for your thoughtful and intelligent response, it is most appreciative and better yet, extremely helpful.

Yes Gaijin said no because Sony and Microsoft wanted to get in on the moneyz so if they change their minds on that aspect console will have Market access …its hilarious that Sony has clueless people answering questions

I understand, at least I think I do. It all boils down to the 3 entities need to be willing to sit down and work out an agreement to where they, as well as the consumer (players) could all benefit. Again, it would be nice if someone from Gaijin would respond to this post and give us their position and possible additional information if they have either approached Microsoft and Sony, or been approached by either company about this specific topic.

Youre sharp as a marble.

I just want to put my honest take on the whole situation. Gaijin as a company should make a real effort to cooperate with Sony and Microsoft to allow Marketplace access for us console players. One it’s just simply unfair to the console player base that yes in fact invest alot of time and money into the game. Two Gaijin often goes long period of time where Console players cannot move their accounts over to PC which is extremely frustrating. Three it would just cause a spike in sales and usage of the marketplace which makes all three corporations alot of money admittedly (I want the Breda 90/53 so bad!!) so in my opinion Gaijin really should approach the idea for the benefit of everyone.

they should make all the skins purchasable for GE for console players

I am NOT an expert on gaming industry…so please correct me if wrong…

AFAIK all console games have difficulties (to say the least) on using their own currencies or marketplaces on console systems…otherwise everyone would do it.
I dont play a game that allows it, but forum members usually can’t find one…OR it is a very specific situation…

AS I SEE IT…consoles want to keep a strong hold on DLC revenues…as free markets would effectively remove them from the ONLY SOURCE of income in Freemium games…

If anyone has a VALID EXAMPLE of a console game that allows free purchasing OUTSIDE the console o REALLY would want to know…
(I am assuming big game like Fortine would be a prime candidate…but i dont play it, so i dont know)

I do know ALL GAMES I PLAYED only allow content purchasing (with real money) in the console system…even when they have a PC version and crossplay.

SO…i don’t have many doubts on who wants to keep it this way…but i actually understand WHY.

Did make a separate post which was removed and I was told to come here, for whatever reason.

It’s taken long enough, console needs access to the marketplace.

I’ve done my research, there’s only ever 2 points brought up to this topic. Either;
A• Gaijin won’t do it due to console taxes
or
B• Console players cannot access the Gaijin Marketplace due to restrictions imposed by Microsoft and Sony. These restrictions prevent third-party marketplaces and economies from operating directly on their platforms.

The solution is simple, already thought of you could say. What is stopping us console players from accessing the market on any browser (we already can btw) and then buying something (that’s what we can’t do)? That skips both the prior points as it doesn’t involve the consoles. No third party marketplace IN THIER GAME, and no taxes/cuts to worry about.

When any PC player goes about using the marketplace, it’s a link that takes them to an external website anyway. You’ve already reached the solution. What’s stopping us from using that too?

Minecraft, rocket league, rainbow six siege, fortnite, any call of duty. These are some of the most popular games about, and they as a company nor the player have any repercussions for going on PC, buying in game items or currency for a little cheaper, and then they just appear when you get back on the console. It’s already happening for everyone, but us. I would like to add to this, rocket league had a major trading system for 8 years where the premium currency was the main item traded. Rainbow six siege currently has an external marketplace where the premium currency is the one used to buy anything. So again, it’s slightly different, but is still allowed for consoles. Both trading with a premium currency and external marketplaces so no console tax is applied.

I just want the QF ram. I fucking love the TOG 2 and I just know they’ll go together so perfectly, super heavy tank, least armour possible TD that share the same gun. One fast, one slow.

That’s the tip of the iceberg, there’s so many event vehicles I’ve missed out on that I want, my list for vehicles I want so far are as follows.
•QF ram
•Comet 1 Iron Duke
•Churchill petard
•Spitfire F Mk IX c
•Kingcobra
•P59A
•AGS
•Tiger Tiger
•VFW
And that’s just from a brief look through the tech tree. Now if I do buy them all, it’s gunna be around $770. Although I probably won’t buy them all at once, it’ll come through. Now imagine what the thousands of other hardcore console players will spend? Even if it is just a skin, it’s money.

If you have no intention of giving console players access for other reasons, please let me know. I have still yet to see any comment from an official gaijin source so I don’t understand what the issue is with console, given there are very easy workarounds that we already have in the marketplace.

Lastly, if you will not let console players access the market for whatever reason, bring back the gamble boxes that give us the ONLY opportunity to get these vehicles.
They come out like twice a year if I’m not mistaken, and there’s only like 25 vehicles in the box, what are the chances one of the vehicles I want are in the box. Never mind me actually pulling that one.
we had the snake box in January, have we had one since? I spend like 40-50 million each time there’s a new set to try get one vehicle I want (I should say any vehicle at all more like I’ve had like 2 so far). Do you see how impossible it is for us to get these vehicles? And why we would prefer to buy them? And why we are willing to buy them? Let us spend our money!!!

Alright I’ve done my research, yeah. Most big games like, Fortnite, rocket league, Minecraft, rainbow six siege, call of duty and Roblox. They all have premium currency for item purchases that can be bought and transferred across any console the game is on. (Rocket league is the only exception, items transfer but not the currency)

Rainbow six siege and Roblox also have marketplaces outside of the console (similar to gaijin market) where trades for items and currencies take place, some of these being millions of dollars.

Neither the player, Sony, nor the game publisher have any taxes or repercussions for going to the console or device with the cheapest premium currency and transferring across. This is what console players can do with GE online for content creator discounts.

Yet the marketplace is a no go. With no word from gaijin.

I would like to add, if they aren’t doing anything to tax Fortnite for doing this, why would they go out their way to do it to war thunder, which at the moment has 4.5x less players on the game, and at daily peaks would have about 9x less. Surely if they could, they would have already done it for the bigger games.

Buying something on the marketplace is no different than buying a premium vehicle, why not have it so you can buy it on your phone/laptop/ tablet and as soon as you do it just is imported to your account?

That’s my point. There’s no reason not to given how easy the fix is. Laziness maybe? Punishing console players for being on console?
