When they add trophy aps for either the sep v2 or add the sep v3 and when every other nation gets the equivalent of an aps then they could add the arena
From what I’ve seen it’s a worse B3 with a gimmick APS slapped onto it.
Gaijin is really weird when it comes to foldering stuff, it seems like they’re doing it to balance a nation in some way. Just look how 2A5/6 are foldered in the German TT, while ones found in France aren’t which makes little sense.
The T-90M in game changes gears far too efficiently compared to what it should be doing. With a manual transmission, going up a hill would take much more effort tbh.
Probably has to do with estimated grind time. They want you spending a soul-crushing amount of time per tree, but not so much that you quit the game entirely.

I would not hope it would get that manual transmission… it already suffers with hill sniping; bad gun depression and bad reverse speed. And this would affect the acceleration negatively, leaving with only 1 strong point: the armor.

Well, yes. The early T-90Ms were quite piss-poor. I like historical accuracy, personally; there’s no point to War Thunder if it’s a fantasy tankfest. Let the BR system balance the game.
I would rather get the DU darts that have been in service since 1991 for the old auto loaders and 2016 for the new ones, and are currently missing from the game and are about on par with current NATO rounds in game.
B3 with no Relict ERA on the side… side grade at best. If it kept the Relict it might be worth the BR increase, barley.

Do WW2 tanks even have their manual transmissions modeled in game? Feels like I gokart around in those compared to games like squad 44/hll
Ya but then russian tanks are even more immobile, and t90m/bvm get lolpenned by 10.x tanks and russia doesn’t have any vehicles above 10.7 except pantsir, but their still have 13.0 planes.
Game would just be leos and abrams at high brs. Honestly I wouldn’t mind but people would probably lose their S because of national pride or bored of fighting the same handful of tanks.
Even with how things are modeled in game you have people in tournements rather playing the 2a4 than t90/bvm, and next one is gonna be abrams spam probably after banning top leos.

No, as far as I know. Otherwise the T-34 would be quite less mobile, for instance. Transmission modeling in War Thunder seems to just be a hodgepodge of bandages to simulate gears changing, with no real consideration given to historical accuracy.
Eh, I agree tbh. Nothing pens a T-90M that doesn’t pen a T-90A in the exact same spots. Very minor upgrade, mostly in the turret traverse and gun laying. Yeah, Leopards are the best tank in the game, but others would be much more competitive if modeled correctly.
There’s no reason that a Challenger shouldn’t be modestly competitive with an abroops or a Leclerc or a Merkava or a 99A etc. Sure, the Leopard is still the obvious top dog (cat) but if these tanks had their myriad issues fixed, they’d be more than competitive. Same can’t be said of the current offering of T-series tanks, but there’s plenty of variety in the game.
Gaijin seems like to overvalue APS a bit, which is probably why that thing is at 12.0.
APS is so useless, 99% of the enemy you face are Abrams and Leos, rarely you get one Puma or a Freccia and that’s it, ERA is just as effective as missiles like to lock on it…

A prototype vehicle can be implemented into the game as long as it’s fully built; no mockup components.
Even if the T-90M with arena-m is a prototype, it was still trailed. And T-90M and arena-m are both functional in reality; no mockups, so it’s safe to implement it into the game.
