When has Gaijin stopped the powercreep to secure everything before they keep up with the powercreep?

I personally can’t wait for 5th gen planes, just for the fanboy tears and screeching when their precious $100 million superplane turns out not to be the magic “I win” button they expected. Especially mains of a certain country. You know which one.

Never, neither addition of ARH missiles neither spall liners as example.

Me too, I’m curious how would they perform, but I wouldn’t be able to play since I’m not the best in air battles, would take years to grind a single vehicle line.

well, if aliens are as smart as they seem that isn’t happening

are you telling me the f-22 never crashed in its first test flight

I said Nothing of the sorts I just said the slightly bigger Russian F22.

but I am not afraid to admit that the F-22 is better than the Su-57, because im thinking that beacause it costs 143 million dollars per unit for the F-22 Raptor and Su-57 only cost 35 million per unit

well the Su-57 will be at the Aero India airshow this year, we will see how it does. And i think the Usa isn’t showcasing their jets

I would not be surprised to see any fighter jet with smoke behind it after a certain amount of operating hours as the engines see some wear and tear. What I am surprised to see is such a large amount of smoke coming from Chinese “6th gens” which should have an extra high level of emphasis on reducing smoke and other infrared emissions.

Because the raptor its not better than the Su-57. Su-57 with Al-41 engine its on par with F-22. And if it add with Al-51 that thing would be the most op plane around. Literally not other jet ATM has that much TTW ratio or Agility.

The only advantage the F-22 has over Su-57 is on RCS. But Su-57 RCS its still between F-35 and F-22. But Su-57 has 8 to 12 Radars. Giving it 360º coverage. The radar on the wing work on L band. So its easy for the Su-57 to detect Stealth targets. And no, people that said that the radar on the Wing only work for IFF are clueless and get confused with Su-35.

On Missile F-22 may have an advantage. But its not like Russian has doing work on that part as well. Like R-77M, R-77me, Izl 270, k-30… etc etc…

And for the OP question. I don’t think we will see Stealth jets this years.

that isn’t a f-22, genius.

I have a trivia question for this forum

Is the Su 57’s RCS low enough to be considered Stealth
  • Yes
  • No
  • Only low visibility

What is the currently presumed RCS of the Su 57
  • 1.5m^2
  • 1.0m^2
  • 0.5m^2
  • 0.05m^2

That is a terrible metric as it fails to take into account any economic factors that influence costs, such as the difference of private defense industry versus state owned, labor, material and manufacturing costs, advances in computational power and material science, etc.

If you want to know the actual performance of the aircraft in comparison to one another, you’re out of luck, it’s classified. There’s some open source information to make educated guesses, but it’s just that - guesses.

The Su-57 is equiped with a 400km range Awacs missile search up the name.
