Hey everybody! I’ve occasionally been making posts around here to try and push my ideas for rare vehicles to come around again for specific days / events. However, I figured I’d switch it up a little bit and instead ask the community something.
When do you all think we will see the German Sherman make a return?
I think it’d be best for the 70th anniversary of the Bundeswehr tomorrow, and or the 15th anniversary of War Thunder in 2027.
The last time he return was in 2020/21 IIRC for ONLY 60 euros.
Well, i think right now pay 60 euros for a rank 3 BR 4.0 tank for Germany is a bit stupid. That zone for Germany is around 35% win ratio so imagine pay 60 euros for lose over and over again.
Another tank usually come back for november was the KV-1B for warbond shop but was discontinued for Gaijin aswel.
Probably tomorrow they add for GE the Jagdpanzer 4 Alkett and the Panzer 2H like past year.
Yeah I figure they will do the PZ.IV/70(A) and Sfl.Ic tomorrow.
Kinda hoping Gaijin plans to bring it back at some point though since its been abt 4-5 years since it was last seen.
Hopefully never. It should not have even come back when it did.

It was a beta tester reward or something like that. The fact that it was rare was kinda cool. Now it’s not as much. It’s also not like Germany needs many premium around that BR.
This has nothing to do with my nonexistent hate for germany. The only thing ingame related to germany I hate is just how absolutely awful and blind german teammates are.
Much better add another premiun hellcat or T-34 right???

Every time in every topic about improve or add something for Germany people like you appeared crying. USA, Soviets, UK or France mains like fly to sht. is pathetic.
Im never stayed against the return or add vehicles in this game but maybe is because im not a ultra biased single nation player.
Maybe is for the continues movility nerfs, lack of scouting (Germany is the ONLY nation without acces to scout in rank 3) lack of meta vehicles and so on. But yes like i said is more easy just repeat like parrots “germans players are bad”.
Which BRs do you play to see that?

Herrman the German Sherman was originally a premium tank back in the closed beta AND it was promoted as a one-time deal, promised never to come back after the CB ends. That’s why me and many old timers hate to see this tank returning again and again. It has nothing to do with the nation. It’s all about Gaijin giving us the finger. BTW the same applies to the russian T-34, too…

Exactly my point. And yet that stance is somehow me hating on Germany and wanting only bad things for the players.
Ok, maybe i was wrong with you, sorry.
But that dont change the fact my mistrut every time i create a topic or talk about improve or add something for Germany. I remember the day i create a poll for add a Leo 1 variant you know a german tank built by germany and used by german army. Well, my surprise was the poll was mostly negative so when i checked how voted against his addition surprise US main, UK main, French mains, etc etc
And im not talking about someone is mostly focused in one nation nah people ONLY play one nation.
Similar situations happend to me very often so Germany ahte in this forum is something very very real.

Is not the same. Soviets never used the Maus in combat just captured a destroyed hull and destroyed turret from 2 different vehicles. Menawhile Germany used entire units with captured sherman tanks.
I thought I worded my comment in a way that sounded more antagonistic than intended, so I removed it. And to be fair Germany never used the Maus in combat either, although they did try. My point was just going to be that captured vehicles, unless absolutely necessary to fill a gap (like the 7 years Italy didn’t have a top-tier SPAA) take away the uniqueness of both nations. And Germany doesn’t need a Sherman medium tank any more than Russia needs a Maus as they both have plenty of good options for those roles at those BRs.

Yes, i agree with that much better add someting local and unique than another copy. But in rare premiuns like that i dont see why not sepcially when Germany used a lot of shermans variants during the war. Similar case are soviet Panzer 3 and Panther.
