every engine in this game is underpowered
tanks cant drive over small bumps without having to come to a crawl if lucky
jets should be able to just climp straight up into the air but here we stall if we pitch up a tad too fast
and what about aircraft the should be able to fly with one engine fx. the A-10
if it looses one engine i can hardly keep it self in the air
and more then once have i just fallen out of the sky not being able to hold it
and that is if i don’t lose all control if i get hit in the tail the wrong way
1: For tanks, its a traction problem. All tanks in wt have the traction of your average car offroad.
2: The A-10s durability is fine where it is, the Su-25 is unrealistic. Don’t listen to propaganda claiming jets can withstand tank rounds and shit

traction and the engine power, hit some mud and it slows you down like crazy
one reason why Vietnam map was so hated

A-10 durability is lacking with how it still loses all controls at times with tail is hit and the gun underperforms a lot, have many times attacked a enemy tank and seen how its peppered with shells yet it still survives somehow even tough it was hit from the top
but yea will agree that the su-25 model is broken, many times it has eaten missiles and survived and fought on
Most tanks in War Thunder are over-performing in acceleration.
All engines have their correct power ratings according to sources.
and traction? war thunder tank traction is straight horrible.
numbers may looks the same but performance begs differ
They’re working on it.
The last time they tried to make changes they reverted from player feedback.
At some point they’ll make it even more realistic and all top MBTs other than Type 10 and Leclerc will slow down.

As much as I want to see BVM, Leopard 2, and Abrams acceleration to be correctly lower than Type 10 and Leclerc, they have a lot to work on.

Was that when they made traction even worse than it is, or was that a bug? And when did they do that?
Currently, tanks lose all sort of traction on a slope in a very forced and arcade-y way, and it just feels wrong.
They made most of traction more realistic, but the vehicles slid too much on non-paved surfaces.
They need a physics mechanic that has vehicles “dig into” surfaces after sliding a few inches to feet depending on mass.
