I constantly have issues with it when a 155mm High Explosive shell, just does 0 damage. In real life, crew would be knocked out by over pressure on a direct hit no matter the armor thickness.
I already said I didn’t want it to “simulate it exactly how I want”. I just want it to work. WoT’s system is 1000% better and more consistent.
WoT’s is less detailed and simulates things even less than WT…
TDM with military vehicles. Supposedly never been anything but.
It is people’s preconceptions that are wrong on the whole, not the game.
It is more consistant because it is less realistic amd more simple. Believe it or not, adding more variables adds more ways for the equation to go wrong.
And more complication should not be added if it cannot be implemented well, e.g. volumetric.
Only problem with volumetric is that that havent finished changing all of the vehicles over to it. They need to get on that.
Volumetric better than the old “watch me fit a 75mm round into a 5mm wide gap”
Objectively false.
Yeah only that and the fact it doesn’t work.
Ironically WoT fixes this problem by having an “unrealistic” but actually more realistic feature that adds random dispersion based on the gun, crew skills and other factors like crew ergonomics. Along with the fact that bad luck will be evened by lots of different shots because you don’t just get one-hit killed like in WT.
Definitely is, 155mm HE shells should instantly kill and armor.
This is in game. Also, do you want rng or not?
And you also want gaijin to go out, find/average, and model the armor quality of every vehicle but also want your crew to, unrealistically, survive shots?
No clue what game you’re playing. My 155 mm HE shells very consistently nuke light vehicles into the stratosphere.
Yes. That is what they want.
I want good gameplay. Getting OHK’d because you shot the other guys ammo and it randomly don’t explode and then losing a vital position and then the game and then probably a 500% booster too is not fun. In WoT this doesn’t happen due to HP.
The difference in philosophy is stark. WoT is designed around good and fun gameplay. WT designs features that have a pretence of being “realistic” but are actually not realistic at all and are terrible for gameplay. E.g. volumetric where you don’t pen a stuart with APFSDS. Or CAS, because it’s so REALISTIC for ground forced to be annihilated by air, though in actuality it’s not realistic at all for tanks who has died to somehow psychically beam the knowledge of who killed them to a plane who can home in and bomb that person in 30 seconds.
If WT realistically simulated armour and penetration mechanics that would be awesome and fun. But it doesn’t.
Maybe you should take a break and play some WoT.
You would get one-shot more and your armor would not hold up. If you want that, okay fair enough. We just have to wait for the technology to catch up
As long as it’s consistent and reliable then sure.
I would if WoT didn’t have more P2W and russian bias than WT, and WT didn’t subject their players to the system of indentured servitude known as battlepass (another terrible, anti-player feature)
Edit: OK I should not accuse WoT of having more russian bias, at least WoT doesn’t have 99.9% WR for Russia at top tier. As we have seen in Ukraine it is simply realistic to have Russian tanks dominate everything.
Wont be 100% but more consistant, yes. Lets hope technology gets to that point quickly. I would be down for a super realistic tank sim whenever it becomes available.
I am not a big fan of the battlepass. But it also depends on your goal for it. I know some want to 100% it. I just want to get the vehicles. You can get like half of the battlepass done by just logining in.
I could never do what some people do and get the upgrade coupons.
Pretty sure sweden has the highest win rate. Whenever i play high tier russia, it is like a 40% win rate. I wish i had some better teammates.
Neither does the Soviet tech tree if that is the one you are reffering to.
Iirc Sweden and Germany are top dogs recently.
Because of spall liners and recent interest in the 2A7V.
Yeah, light vehicles, I’m talking about MBT’s and Heavies. If it doesn’t have a snag point for a roof, it usually does 0 damage.
