general degeneration of a video game over a long period of time is to be expected.
WT just has a real bad issue with lewd anime crap (especially on WT live) and its rare to be in a match where there isnt someone in a femboy clan.
I get that war thunder is an autism magnet, thats why myself and many of my friends play but the wide catchment of different flavours of 'tism and mental issues (if i worded that more correct this would be flagged) is weird for a military game
I wish we’d get a decal version to use on aircraft, seeing as it was for an air base. We have decals for some squadron logos and such so it wouldn’t be out of the norm anyways.
Fun fact, US post service used to ship kids. I know people in counter human trafficking - and our CPS system is built to lose kids. And most social media companies are deeply complicit.
There were some special operators who rescued like… 800 kids a year or two ago off a party bardge in thr San Fransisco Bay. Not only didn’t the news report it, but CPS came in took the kids and all 800 are just gone.
Degeneracy like this is designed because it mentally devolves the individual who turns around and consumes certain adult media - and they usually end up diving into the dark web which is just the devils playground for the more extreme and illigal stuff. And yeah, they will spend more money - because they are now wired to feed the monster of their appetite.
If War Thunder is supposed to be a “realistic” military game, as the developers themselves often emphasize, then we should stick to that vision. Adding anime-themed tank skins and similar content feels completely out of place. To me, it comes across as a clear cash grab and, frankly, a nod toward the Chinese market — it often seems like whenever the Chinese community pushes for something, Gaijin follows along without hesitation.
If I want an anime-style experience, I’ll go play an anime game. Simple as that. War Thunder built its identity around historical authenticity and realism, and that’s what many of us signed up for.
I have nothing against people who enjoy anime or have their own preferences — everyone is free to like what they like. I’m not trying to impose my taste on anyone. But in the same way, content that clearly doesn’t fit the core theme of the game shouldn’t be forced on players who value immersion.
At the very least, there should be a full option to completely disable this kind of content on the client side. Right now, not everything can be turned off, and that’s frustrating for players who want to keep the experience grounded and consistent with the game’s original direction.
There’s a video new on YT that looks at WT and what the author thinks Gaijin is aiming at - and their conclusion is that they are not aiming at milsim or anything like it.
they are aiming at people who want to blat around in their favourite tank/plane/floaty thing and who don’t particularly give a toss about “milsim” - or at least that’s how I take from it… see
