Let’s look at simulated battles. Snail thinks the F-16 Netz is 13.0 more effective than the Hornet at 12.7, with 1) medium-range missiles 2) more missiles, and 3) better maneuverability?
Why does the F-16 OCU from France tree have both 9M/Magic 2 and 12.7%, while the Netz is already 13.0 without 9M and an inferior radar?
Why does the F-2A have a BR of 12.7%, meaning it’s weaker than the Netz?
In my opinion, even the 12.3 F/A-18A (British and Us tech tree)has better capabilities than the Nets and MiG-29A in terms of air-to-air.
It seems to me that firstly, the French F-16 OСU, as well as the F-18A and F-18С, should be sent to 13.0, while the F-16 Nets should be at 12.7 or 12.3 along with the F-16A for the USA.
You can compare the effectiveness of the same F-15A, which has a full set of weapons (9М and 7M), and BR13.0, many decoys and excellent maneuverability, and the Nets 13.0 without 9M and without medium-range missiles. I’ll go even further. According to the snail, the Netz (F-16 block 10!) has the same combat effectiveness as the Jas-39A and more effective than F-14B which is simply ridiculous.
I think the F-14, F-15, F-16, and F-18 should be aligned in terms of BR and available weapons.
For example, the F-14A, F-15A, F-16A, F-18A, and F-18C Early should have access to the 9L and AIM-7M.
For the F-14B, F-15C (Early), F-16C Block 30-40, F-18C from mid’90, AIM-9M and AIM-120A (AIM-54C for F-14b)
For the F-14D (in the future), F-15C (Late), F-16C Block 50, and F-18C Late (from mid 2000’), AIM-120C should be available.
