I played for 5 years on an old RX 580 4gb, r5 5500, 16 gb of ddr4 RAM and the game was on a SATA SSD, nothing lagged, no freezes, drawdowns were up to 60 maximum (out of 144), until 2025 came, performance dropped significantly in recent updates, I thought – my computer, bought an Rx 9060 xt 16 gb, I changed the SATA SSD to the new samsung 970 evo plus, and what I see is that at high (as it was) fps, yes, it became more than 144, but as there were wild drawdowns in the choice of equipment (it freezes for 1-2 seconds), it remained, in battle the shot is a microfriction. I changed the settings, chose the maximum ones for beauty, because the computer gets into all the recommended ones. The resolution, if anything, is FHD. I tried playing with the settings, turned on dx12 and FSR 4.1 for native, turned on 2x frame generation, so there were 600 fps in the lobby and 400 in battle, but there were still freezes. Even the automatic selection of graphics in the game did not help. In other games, things are better, for example, in Squad or Cyberpunk 2077 there are no such drawdowns. Maybe someone can tell me what to do.
Sorry if there are any mistakes, I’m writing through a translator.
for some reason directx12 just doesn’t work well in war thunder, I have an rtx5050 and sometimes with direct x 12 my fps goes from 200 to less than 30 till i restart the game…
I also notice this, but here’s the problem, on version 11, FSR 4.1 doesn’t work, and I lose a lot more than I get.
Well thats expected tbh fsr and dlss are upscaling features and the idea is to get more frames by running the game in a lower res and then upscaling to your monitor res, however in dx12 you can use ray tracing, which i like but as i said its just impossible to play, randomly your getting 20 fps…
For now im just playing in dx11 and there is nothing we can do other than complain to hope gaijin does its job and fix this…
yep direct x12 is a nightmare here , im better off with directx11 and im a rtx4050 user
