Whats the difference between naval rafale and rafale?

so whats the real difference between naval rafale and rafale except for targeting optics

nothing one is built for land the other for carrier operations

the most important modification would be :
the base weight having 1ton difference with the Rafale C - the difference massively come from Gears being reinforced + Hook systems (both for catapult and arresting cables)

there is also some smaller changes, but that’s pretty it.

The naval version is a little heavier

Naval is heavier and has less modifications for some unknown reason even though it has the same loadouts. You get dumb bombs stock I think and you get all the LGBU bombs in 1 mod.

its kinda in the name, one can land on a carrier with its hook, one cant., and the longer nose gear also

Probably to make up for it being purely worse in flight performance

In game, as for now, the Rafale M has a better pod (Talios vs Damocles) and is heavier.
In the future however, the Rafale M should have access to METEOR missiles : standard F3R > FR3

Both aircraft are to the same standard, so they should receive the same armament; the Rafale C will therefore also receive the Meteor missiles and should also have the Thalios pod(note that the FR3 standard does not exist).

Rafale M Is around half a ton heavier than Rafale C, It has a bigger and longer landing gear for carrier ops, it has the Talios targeting pod, can take off from carriers, and has Better fuel consuption.

Besides that It’s the same aircrafts

rafale M could also have received the Exocet anti-ship missile, but gaijin still hasn’t added it

I’d expect both Rafales to get the Meteor and MICA-IR, however when they do we should also get an earlier Rafale (like the M F1 for example) without these modern missiles
