Thats german main issue not vehicle issue.
sure a few vehicles have a bit of a struggle but theres a very noticable pattern. German tanks are doing far better away from that nation.
the only thing germany is suffering from is its players.

Still too high lmao. Your acting like it’s a huge improvement then like a 1a2 or tbh a regular leopard 1 what it’s not. It’s a 8.3 maybe a 8.7 at highest but would be very unlikely.

The AS1 does have a LRF and was upgraded to 1A5 equivalent to include thermals and such. Idk about ammunition used [for the AS1] but assuming a DM33 counterpart it [the AS1] could be 9.3.
The German 1A3 meanwhile is solidly 8.3 with DM13 and no LRF, while the 1A4 would be 8.7 with DM23.

Because chieftains are fat but heavily armoured the leopard 1a3 is poorly armored but fast. T62 is kinda just in-between with decent armour,speed and a very good gun

Doesn’t matter to gajin tbh. But yea some nations did upgrade there 1a3s later on in the late 80s-90s for the danish at least to 1a5 spec and the bundeswehr did even test it but they were rare upgrades and not the standard

M48 there is better/worse mainly worse imo due to the br
i meant the 7.7 one, but nvm since i forgot that it was actually heavier than the us/cn m48, i just remembered the slightly better engine, still the kpz is better than the mbt70, the 1.5s does makes a huge difference
OF-40 Mk.2 and MTCA exist at 9.0/9.3 and are just much better due to having;
Significantly better Gun handling (40°/s Horiz & 20°/s Vert vs 24°/s Horiz & 7°/s Vert)
LRF compared vs sole stereoscopic rangefinder
.50 cal HMG vs 7.62mm
Comparable Mobility (18.7hp/t vs 19.5hp/t)
Better Mobility (MCTA); 22.6hp/t vs 19.5hp/t
Leopard 1 A3 and 1 A4 are absolutely not 9.3 material, questionable if even 9.0 given OF-40 MK.2As are just straight up better.

FLER-H, EMES 12 (TEM-4A) / EMES 12 A1 and PERI R 12 alone have more historical and technological significance than any export versions of it ever could.

Just like another user said in Wallet’s suggestion, personally I feel developers jumped from one end to another, leaving symbolic vehicles behind. I also don’t share the view of “they (don’t) need it”, since there should always be space for these sort of vehicles even if a BR is filled. I’m not saying we should have every Leopard variant, but we could use some of the earlier versions. For the Leo 1 it’s jumping to the 1A1 then 1A5. For the Leo 2 it’s jumping from the 2A4 (a relatively late production) to the 2A5.
Other countries have the same situation (USSR with T-54 A/B and T-62M, for example), and while these additions shouldn’t be a priority, they shouldn’t be left out of the question either.
There are suggestions for most of these, but I believe developers are constantly focusing on more modern content (for the sake of visuals?) and I’m afraid one day they will run out of modern content to add. I’m sure many of us would enjoy a revision of vehicles earlier in the TT.

We need every leopard varient ever made.
Wouldn’t like it to become redundant, besides development resources are limited and you can’t really expect devs to study and add every gazillion Leopard variant available. But with time I’m pretty sure an inbetween can be found, and making their research optional would be a win-win for the entire playerbase IMO.

Not much to study on them.
They already got Rad90 which is a mixture of A4 and 2K turret that requires some minor changes (bustle, mantlet, hatches) as turret, hull exists anyway and for the data they can ask someone for the MaK Leopard 1 A4 brochure, as A3 and A4 only differ through the FCS.
Gun-Drives are the same, performance is the same, gun is the same, ammo is the same the only thing that differs with A3 compared to A1A1 is the turret-structure (again, turret already largely exists via Rad90) and A4 is just that but PERI R12 and maybe they could give it a slightly faster rangefinding time due to ballistics computer, which reduces average time to engage irl.
Literally less research needed than for the model-changes on Leopard 2 NL series.
