Basically title, what weapon’s are currently under performing to their irl counterpart?
This goes for any tank, plane, ship, heli weapon.------> Not the vehicles them self’s.<------
An “example” would be: Ahead ammo, Used by light tank’s to take out aircraft.
I’ve shot about 50ish shot’s at a micro drone to take it down when maybe 3 should have been enough.
And another example would be, Brimstone’s. Missing a good chunk of their irl capabilities.
Red Tops missing all-aspect
SRAAMs have half their IRL range
Aim-9Ls are way too easy to flare
Aim-9Ms have a massively nerfed lock range
Aim-120s missing a load of features and capabilites
Brimstones missing mmW
PW4 missing DL (Im working on a bug report for that at the moment)
in naval, ALL British 15" guns have 3-4x more dispersal than they should. Means most of a salvo (if not every round) misses by miles even with good aim)
15 mm MG 151/15 Cannon on Aircraft:
Designed as a smaller aquivalent as a Motorkanone to the 20mm Hispano 404, was very successfull against ground (especially with H-Pzgr.)
However in game:
All Ap rounds missing spall upon penetration
The ApI-T should be just Ap-I
The HVAP should have 1050m/s instead of just 1030m/s
The I-T is a useless round, its fire chance on hit multiplier is just 7, for comparisson, the M2s ApI-T M20 has 10 (IRL 0,97g) , the I M1 has 8 (but IRL 2,2g) and the AP-I M8 has also 10 (IRL 1,16g), all while the 15mm Brgr. L’Spur has a greater 4,9g Al-Mg-Bariumnitrate filler but just 7 fire chance multiplier.

The strv 103s are truly the worst, the aiming and targeting sensetivity on any terrain incline is the worst, you are useless on maps with hills, yaknow what the strv 103 were make to shoot from ;w;
APCR (AKA HVAP) is all modelled off of the Russian equivalent which used a smaller and worse quality core than we see on American and British equals
APDS of all guns shatters far too often while shells like APHE or early ww2 solid shots don’t shatter when they should.
basically every NATO gun from the 105mm on is underperforming in its penetration with the worse offender being the APDS on the L11a5 which has the pen it should have at 1km at 0m.
HESH is missing pretty much every characteristic about the shell other than being explosive as well as being far weaker than reality, its missing the “scab” formed by hits and is missing the shockwave which would knock out most tank components indirectly.
Armour on Abrams, Leopard 2 and Challenger is all too weak but I cant prove it without using sekrit dokuments
Might as well just remove HESH as it is now, and unfortunately has been for years.
Without the effects the shell induces on a target i don’t know why it was implemented in the first place and the fact that it has remained in this state for literally the entirety of the lifespan in WT, it is truly one of the things i wish gaijin would prioritize first.
Well it has had it’s short while in the spotlight a couple of years back, it still never did function as it was supposed to, and far from hayday of the RU HE-slingers.
I have made a bug report in the hopes of it actually having something here I’m amazed that FV4005 has been allowed to be basically worthless from how poorly hesh works
