I want to try a Realistic Sound mod, what is the best to use? I’ve heard the RSCM was abandond since its incident or so? But Opus is also not that bad they say?
try IASM or OPEX, works best.

RCSM is great and it’s still being worked on. Their aircraft sounds make the game so much better.

I thaught the 2nd developer and VAs abandoned the RCSM mod

IASM combined with RCSM is what I use, but RCSM doesnt work currently because it hasnt been updated yet.
IASM is really cool because it gives proper VWS for the various aircraft stuck with placeholder VWS.

No idea about internal issues, but the RCSM is still going. I generally play lower tiers, so RCSM props and tank sounds are what I prefer. I found ICSM gunfire sounds to be to loud on my system, but in the end it’s personal preference and anything is better than the stock sounds.
My sound mods don’t work and the button to enable them doesn’t even show up. Help!!!
You need to edit the config file its not a button in game
open config.blk on notepad++, sounds, and add this exact block.
enable_mod:b=yes
I did exactly that, and it’s still not working.
Did you install the sound mod files in the sounds file in theconfig.blk file? And did you also put them in a file called “mod” inside the sounds file?
Yeah, I did. It’s still not working.
It used to work before Gaijin disabled it.

Sorry mate, go to the war thunder files via “Browse local files” if you play on steam, and click the replay folder when you select replay in game if you use the gajin launcher, go to war thunder folder, scroll down until you see config.blk, open it, select with Notepad++, then go to sound in config.blk, and then add “enable_mod:b=yes”. Then select save.
