What do you guys think about the state of the US premium jets? There’s been a lot of controversy over BRs for jets like the F-5C, but what of the other high tier fighters when put against top tier anti airs etc? What jet would be most worth it, the F-5C, F-4S F-20A or F/A-18C early?

All are good and way above average for their BR, I’d say the F18 is the best because you can do everything in it and most matches are gonna be 12.0-13.0 instead of full uptiers, which means you are in a good position. Not to mention that it’s fun to play outside of the grind and will let you research tier 9 if it ever comes out.
Another plus is that it won’t be on sale till next year, whereas the others will go on sale in 2-3 months, so it’s less demoralizing to get it at full price right now.

Im quite fond of both 18C early and F-4S. Both are fun and give me exactly what I want, which is missile bus gameplay for BVR jousting.
Nothing beats good thrusting with manly and strong lance at the opponent.

Exceptionally good. No other nation has gotten as many premiums and 50% of premiums from other nations arent worth buying.
Pretty much every single US premium aircraft is strong and highly competitive for its BR

Id argue that F-20A is the weakest out of the F-4S/18C early/F-20A trio due to its loadout. Lowest CM count with some awkward pylons are the reason I never got around getting it.

I would want to use them for grinding in ARB and in GRB for air superiority and CAS.
True, though I still see them doing fine.
Annoying little buggers to fight as well. they inherrited some of the F-5 issues.

define grinding. If you plan to zomb, prolly F-4S, as far as i know it has the largest payload and sits at the lowest BR out of the aforementioned trio. Maybe F-5C. But using both for zombing would be waste.
If for A2A, you cant go wrong with any of those but maybe the F-20A. F-5C is gunfighter, F-4S is BVR bus, 18C early is missile bus with FM of gunfighter.
well that depends on your lineup of ground vehicles but both F-5C and F-4S arent that good CAS options for GRB. 18C early is clearly the best due to TPOD and Mavs or LGBs if you want. F-20A is also an option seeing as it can carry mavs, albeit without a TPOD.

2x Napalm for a base kill, then go hunting with 6x Aim-7F.

Im not sure actually. I have no idea how any of them are fairing against IRIS-T SLM and Pantsir at top tier.
