What Rank-6 jet should I get first?

A-4B/E or FJ-4B. Both are pretty good, they have good cannons, missiles and flight performance.

US rank 6?

F-104 is a very d-bag route, but it’s the best of the options, ignoring the AV-8C

F5E is my favorite at Rank VII by far.

@Zyranovos : F-5E is not as good as it was.

if i had to grind again, i would definetly go for F-8E then A-10A then F-5E

Isn’t F8E just the F8U but with aim9cs? And I have no progress in the strike line so I cant go for the A10 either, is F5E really that bad?

F-8E have 9C, not the F8U

F-5E lacks a lot of authority nose in my opinion, but can battle against MiG-21, while being disadvantaged.

But the lack of missiles and the need to rely on guns makes it harder, even more considering the low amount of Countermeasures

From the US I would honestly recommend the F3d. It was my first TT jet and its got a really good radar and guns, works best if its used for BNZ though

F5E vs F-100D is surprisingly evenly matched in a guns-only fight surprisingly

for rank 7 the F-4c is pretty good once you get the aim-9E but you don’t have CM so keep that in mind
