What rank 3 British tank should i grind to make my journey eaiser

I recently decided to start grinding Britain because i think it would be one of the best nations in the game due to Commonwealth nations. I am having a good time grinding air however i am having some difficulties with ground. I currently have Valentine 1 but i did not like it since it does not have a lot of pen which a lot of these tanks in rank 2 don’t have. So what should i grind first so that i get a tank with good penetration (except for archer)

I’m a personal fan of the crusader III, decent gun paired w good mobility. However it does suffer from a bad reverse speed and solid shot, so aim well and don’t rush into a blind fight without knowing how to get out. The best pen for BR is for sure the Achilles, but it is at the end of rank 2, and suffers the same slow turret as its American counterpart.

Whenever I play Rank II, I quite like the Valentine Mk.IX and the Mk.XI, both offer good pen with the usual solid shot and okay protection, but are slow.

However If you want better mobility, keep an eye out for the Cromwell I, SARC Mk.VI (6pdr), Crusader Mk.III, and Achilles. The first three have the 6dpr, which is a good balance of pen and reload time, and the Achilles is the same gun and ammo as the Archer, but in a turreted TD.

Overall you cant really go wrong with the 6pdr IMO, so if something is armed with that you should be fine. The 75mm OQF Mk.V is also decent, but most lack the American APHE M61, and the 6pdr has better handling and pen.

Alright guys thanks for the advice. I am now past rank 2 and have grinded challenger line, common wealth line, anti air line and light tank line. So what rank 3 tanks are worth putting in my line up?

The 4.7 tanks with the Sherman Firefly, Avenger and Concept 3 is a staple line up in the British tree. Churchill Mk VII is very situational, you have tough armour but you wont be able to damage anyone in return. And German cannons can still penetrate you easily, which is why I dislike that tank.

You should also play the air tree. The Typhoon Mk Ib/L is a very solid option for air support in your lineup, as it can more than punch its weight as a fighter but also carries rockets and bombs for destroying tanks.

Thanks! I have already gotten Sherman firefly and it is a pretty good tank with good cannon. I am going for the concept 3 next and will try avenger after that

As for air i am also grinding that and will try the typhoon MK LB/L
