What now for Russian MBTs?

Archived

Now that Russian ground forces have been gifted with the best tank that they are currently producing…

What more is left aside from the T-14 Armata, T-15 Armata and the BMP-T?
Is that it? The end?

Gaijin moved too fast. Now they are out of content…

This has become a list of Russian ground vehicle additions so here goes…
URAAAA!!!

Overall ground combat vehicles:

2S14

BTR-70 Chasee with new turret, supposedly autoloaded 85MM with firerate of 20-25 rounds per minute. APDS (3BM31) was an option for this cannon but while I could add its look I couldnt find specs but its estimated to be not that good.
No thermals as this is before USSR made any of its thermals (1975).

BMPT is a crap. 10.0-10.3 BR.

Good IFV is the Kurganetzh-25

30mm + 4 kornet
image

Short 57mm + 4 kornet + 8 mini-kornet (bulat)

Last one is better

More likely the problem will show up in any other nation, but not ussr

huh why ?
there is the leclerc with the 140mm the abrams the leopard etc
i mean obj etc are prototypes

  • was obj640 not only a wooden mockup turret or smt ?

I have no reason to believe it was a moulage.
Although the 640 is an understudied tank.

As for the Abrams, there are fewer of them anyway. Sep3 and 140mm are all that’s left.

i dont think you understand…
these vehicles will not come AFTER the T-90M but rather as sidegrades or below.
only the T-90M 2023 might follow the current T-90M.
all other IFV’s listed above are just another BMP-2 except the Bulat and the T-15 armata (57mm)

so at maximum, russia gets a T-90M 2023 after the T-90M and the the T-14 Armata.
end of story? thats pretty sad imo

Kurganec is not a bmp2 at all. Much better

in function it is a BMP

Prototypes.
152mm APFSDS prototypes.

Russia made a T-14 prototype with 152mm gun.
Would be an excellent 12.7+ tank in the future.
