Topic’s name says it clearly, what makes u play better?
in my case: listening to music.
sunk cost falacy
Reminding myself if I have bad games gaijin can suck it and I’ll go play Hollow Knight instead
Then u get smacked 23 times by Absolute Radiance or Pure Vessel (tho i use Pure Vessel as mere entertainment since it’s patterns are predictable).
My tolerance for suffering in video games is enough for my friends to call me a masochist.
I am not to that part of the game tho. Got to city of tears a few days ago
I mostly just play WT to play with my friends, if there was an actual alternative id be playing that.
what makes me play better is usually when i actually was able to sleep the day before more than anything. but that goes for everything in life
Ow then i will not spoiler u too much.
Lol i have been playing Silksong and the most common enemy which looks like an NPC feels like facing a HK boss.
God bless me i have ended the game with the 2 main endings.
I want to return to HK and install some mods like the pale court or Infinite Vessel which makes Pure Vessel 1000000000000% harder in all ways (however, Fireb0rn obviously can do that no hit, he’s too good for Hollow Knight, i remember he has been doing HK content for 8 years).
So u basically never sleep 8hs? Or u have issues with sleeping?
Never been able to sleep consistently or well, and doing night shifts at a job i had years ago damaged that even more.
ill either sleep 3 hours or 12, neither makes me feel great.
I do sleep better then one of the cats hasnt stolen leg space from the bed too
Night Shift? Huh, that sounds pretty Freddy Fazbear for me, Caernichael.
I think id rather have worked at freddys pizzaria instead of a south london maccas to be honest
Bro prefers to meet the man behind the slaughter than working in the UK, lmao.
At least the job pays well?
good paying job and UK lol
Doing that you will have negative kd bro because you can’t hear the engines
So I can win discussions in an online forum with my 70%+ skill rate.
Music makes you concentrate better and delay burnout.
Play with friends and do stupid crap (using tow ropes, all lining up to short one guy at the same time, etc)
Me tryna listen for Russian tank engines while blasting Metallica n guns n roses at full volume. I only listen to music when playing air (unless I need rwr)
- Being well-rested. This has the BIGGEST effect on my performance. Legit, if I’m well rested I will have 100% situational awareness and be constantly checking around me. This lasts for about 50 minutes where I start getting distracted and die stupid deaths from staring at random stuff and getting exploded by someone diving on me.
- Wanting to prove that using mouse & keyboard for situation awareness is viable and you don’t need trackIR or VR to play sim.
- Wanting to prove the viability of my inane rudder controls (WT Live // Controls by RunaDacino) (Mousewheel rudder ftw!)
- There’s a name on the enemy team I recognize and don’t want to bring shame to myself
- I want to get better at a specific plane for one reason or another.
- Being able to pull of “It’s not stupid if it works” grade maneuvers (using lomcevaks, hammerheads, snap rolls etc in a dogfight in sim)
- Having pleasant teammates and opponents that make the fight have good manners and sportsmanship. (“Nice bounce o7”; “Didnt expect you to have the energy to pull into that!” “I didn’t! 40 mph prop hang”, “Good shooting then o7.” - actual WW2 sim bracket chat that I remember positively despite losing and thus encouraging me to go back into the fray after standing up to get some water to calm my nerves.)
- Getting cool youtube clip footage (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNYBR6L_gDk-989sPIb-Ce2mX9KVIJ5p4 for sim footage and https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNYBR6L_gDk_KUVGiKr3nqJWZ0Qh22qXn for sim tournament footage)
Maybe that’s why I still haven’t nuke, I get up at 430 am some days.
Again, complete opposite. For me, it’s more a case of “I may not have a brain gentlemen, but I have an idea” and then proceeding to either die instantly or get 5 kills.
Maybe one day
