Look closely at the real life picture, the cylinder in game goes around where the black part is from the gun barrel of the real life picture
Its a gun breach
Breech isnt shown in that picture. It just showed the barrel.
Its an armored sleeve for the recoil, the breech is all the way in the back of the tank.

Yes for comparison, if you would look closely you would see that the cylinder goes around the black part of the gun in the real life picture
