Su-25BM itself might have insufficient flight characteristics to be in 11.0BR if we consider counterparts like MiG-21bis.
And it might be the truth that Gaijin generally overrates the BR of strike aircraft by reason of ‘ground grinding capability’, which Fighter-Bomber also can do and usually does nothing to win a match in the current ARB meta.
But still, as long as it retains two R-73… Thanks to R-73, Su-25BM can’t go any lower…

Russian mains complained about the same thing with the A10C, (almost half the speed of the su25 btw) having irccm missiles, the fact is its just aids for any flareless plane to deal with all aspect missiles.

In CAS it can use it’s Kh-29TEs as TGP to guide in Kh-25MLs. Essentially giving it 4x Mach 2 laser missiles with thermals and decent zoom at 10km range at 10.7.
While AMX sits at 11.0 in ground with up to 6 laser bombs.
Super Etendard 11.0 as well without all aspect IR AAM, only 2x 7km range kinda supersonic laser missiles with inconsistent damage and 3 laser bombs or something.
Very balanced. Russia totally needed the Serbian bias bus plane at 10.7. Russia totally had something to do with that plane for it to be added to USSR.

I don’t think it’s significantly better than the A-10s for example.
Aircraft has thermals, but that’s not an outlier at the rating.
Definitely not much better than a10 at same rating, also can’t really perform outside of clear weather.
you must be blind and deaf to not be able to use MITL.
TV screen is your thermals as I mentioned earlier, get good skill issue.
The ability to be totally immune to all SAM threats while attacking with excellent precision isn’t an advantage? A-10A has to at least be slightly concerned about their distance to the battlefield when attacking with Maverick missiles but the MITL cruise missiles can easily fly 20+km and outrange all weaponry at the tier. You end up never being at risk of eating an IR sam and rarely at risk of taking a SARH SAM like SA-8 if you mess around, A-10A(Late) on the other hand regularly does end up well within SA-8 range and can find itself eating SA-13 if they’re not playing carefully. That’s a fairly significant advantage, to be able to attack with essentially zero counterplay from the ground.
