Maybe, just my humble opinion, people shouldn’t be free to tell other people to commit suicide. You never know who you are talking to

Ya, I don’t do anything like that or say a anything racist. I got chat banned for profanity, which is ridiculous given the age range of the game, and the fact that people literally chose to read profanity and then complain. You have to be 18 to even have an account.
You have to be 12 or higher and have parental consent or be 18 or higher actually
Average run-of-the-mill swearing should not be bannable imo (as the game already censors). I only have a problem when stuff turns into the alley of hate speech
censorship does more harm than good just look at japanese oprn censorship, did it ever bring something positive into our lives absolutely not
It’s there so that paren’t have some control over what their children see in the game. It’s not an excuse to break the rules.
The filter isn’t mandatory and can be turned off. Some players are okay with seeing minor swears but are not okay seeing grave things. Some are even okay with seeing the grave things. That does however not mean that either of those things are okay.
To me personally they are pretty straight forward.
That only happens when you have 10 or more previous punishments, not 5.

Just food for thought, but people react to each other all the time with the same level of hate in the heart and mind that someone who believes their hate speech has.
A lot of edge lords use hate speech and don’t have even have the hatred that some folks driving on the road have for other drivers (example).
I think speech in game definitely needs moderated, but from a philosophical stand point it’s crazy to me that anyone on here is throwing around “this is okay or not” when you will never know what’s going on in someones heart/mind.
The dude throwing f bombs is just as likely to have the same hate for the dude who just smoked him in game as a racist person. But because it’s a game nobody bats an eye because that form of hate is acceptable.
Seems like a massive logical falacy to me.

I feel like you are trying to say something bu are being intentionally vague
It does seem all a bit nebulous to be honest, it is all about personal feelings and attitudes, something which are very subjective. There has to be a frameowrk of rules and regulations certainly, but it often seems this is incomplete and missing parts that are added in a chaotic way or just as the whim arises.
Also the profanity seems to be only an English speaking thing, I know it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and practicully everybody can speak a little, but other langauges can be profane and it is even easier if using slang, the filter/system is not even set up or aware to block this.
In game chat is almost useless, there is very little if any teamwork, messages will be ignored or not read, often due to the amount of spam, derogatory language and other useless messages filling the chat space.
On a personnal note I have been chat banned for years and it has nade no difference, it has probably made things easier. I would say if you have been chat banned it should be across all modes, as until I found the correct setting I was still getting personal messages in langugaes I had to translate, often unsucessfully due to cultural slang words, calling me all sorts of derogatory things, questioning my parentage and generally insulting me, my family and my heritage. It was also difficult if I remember to reprt these people as person to person chat seemed to fall outside the reporting scheme.

How do my posts keep getting flagged as “inappropriate” when they are just quotes of the messages I’ve received from “the system?”
The message for flags is automatic, generic and not customized for any specific post. Not all things listed in the message applies to every specific case, most commonly the “broke community guidelines” is the one that applies in most cases. If you want specific answers you will have to message the Forum Moderators and ask them about it.
Flags are done by the community, any user can flag any post for any reason. The Forum Moderators then look at the flagged posts and take appropriate action if necessary or dismiss the flag if it’s false. You can read more about the system here: Forum Flagging System Explanation
