What is the in-game F-4E dated at?

Does anyone know what year the F-4E is dated at? I’m trying to read about the one we have in-game since I made a bug report using a source dated at 1979 but it got shot down as the version in game is an “earlier version” and therefor not capable of carrying such weapons.

It’d be nice if instead of coldly stating their answer, they could provide which version we have so I could do further research instead of having to ask around as I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere.

Firstly, it’s probably a mid or late 70s configuration.

Secondly, stating where they get sources from would be transparency, and that’s a no-go around here, sorry.

Thanks! Yeah it’s a pain, I did a little more digging and they claim it’s a 1972 model I guess?

Makes sense. My only wish is for a modernized F-4E and/or an F-4G foldered with the existing F-4E.

It’s not a specific configuration, it has many anachronistic features in the GBU-15 and access to the AGM-65 (as per specified circa '72 configuration).

Non DMAS Blocks F-4E Should not have access to AGM-65 circa '72

A 2nd Late / Early F-4E split, or F-4G isn’t on the cards at minimum for another year or two.

Though the F-4D wasn’t mentioned so there is still a path forward, since a F-4D is notionally similar to the early F-4E in terms of CAS and would be available for various subtrees (e.g. Greece & (South)Korea).
