The majority of Leopard 2 A0’s did not feature WBG-X (Thermal Imager) and relied on externally mounted PZB-200 (Passive LLLTV / NVD) instead, until Leopard 2 A2, where all of them were refitted with WBG-X aswell.

Aside from that, this early version technically wouldnt be using DM 23 but DM 13 as the former has only entered service in 1983, which is also roughly (or almost) when 2 A0’s started being retrofitted with WBG-X and thus becoming 2 A2’s.

The PERI R17 sighthead had also not yet been raised (5cm difference) thus lowering visibility while using it.

Though aside from external-differences (wind-sensor being omitted for example), this sums up the major gameplay-relevant differences.
