it’s still recon reports, idk why you’re getting all huff duff about it. She says it fast & in an accent. You can hear the “reeeec” when it’s slowed down.
Ugh, well, that sort of accent is bizarre and doesn’t match the rest of “her” voice.
First, Brits don’t even say “recon” they say “recce” pronounced “recky.” Americans say “recon” pronounced “ree-kon.” No one says “reekin.” Once again Gaijin doesn’t care about English. Just like “gramercy” is STILL in the rotation despite being literal Shakespearean English.

No, I personally have voicelines turned off though, when I did have them on, they sounded pretty clearly to say “Recon reports enemies spotted”
It’s most likely because it’s based in Russian accent then translates to English.
It doesn’t sound clearly like that at all. It sounds like “eekin” or “inken/incoln.”
None of the other words in the line sound odd, I’m not so sure being translated from Russian has anything to do with it. Besides, it appears to be AI.

In Russian it would sound like Ри-кон in English, spelt as Рекон, the “И” character having the English “I” or “Ē” sound, while the “Е” in Рекон has the “short E” sound meaning it would sound like “Rae-con,” hence your sound of “Lincoln, or ikon”
You have to look deeper than the surface, and dig into actual grammar and pronunciation of other countries language.

It’s a dead word. It’s only in the game because of the devs’ misunderstandings of English because they aren’t native English speakers.
“You have to look deeper” spare me the condescending nonsense. It’s the English voice line, not the Russian. English should sound like English. The male version sounds fine. Why can’t the female?

I’m a native English speaker, specifically American (and our families have been here since before the US was the US). The first time I heard that voice line in the recording posted earlier, I immediately heard “reekin reports…” It sticks out like a sore thumb because it sounds so completely wrong. I don’t know any American accent, from coast to coast, that would say “recon” like “reekin.” And as mentioned earlier, the rest of the female voice line seems normal - boring bland West Coast/California/major network television news reporter accent, IMO. Might seem normal to a non-native American English speaker, but it’s definitely not accurate.
To me it sounds like “Making reports - enemy spotted”
