What does DLSS Do?

So, I currently use DLSS as my anti aliasing in order to access frame generation, which is amazing because playing at max rt settings with 400+ fps is so cool.
However, DLSS from what I understand is an upscaler, which means if I have render native selective, it does nothing? What does it do other than letting me enable frame generation?

That’s just using DLSS for Anti-Aliasing not better frames :)

You’re using something called DLAA then, I do too. In my opinion produces the best visual clarity and quality while performing well too.
