- The UK owns and operates both. U.S. getting it bc “muh tests” screams special treatment and ignores reality. Lastly, it’s not likely that we’ll even see it in-game (on the F-35) there is no other designation to differentiate normal vs clipped wing missile, so Meteors probably won’t be added there.
IF it did, then yes, it’s a U.K. (and Italy?) F-35-exclusive because these nations use both.
- Ngl, if nations received weapons they rejected irl it’d be even more of a mess, so GL with that logic.

that is fair, i think the US can wait at least 2 updates or more before any ASRAAM tested US vehicles get them since we will have an alternative

how am I shifting goalposts, weapon tested & technical compatibility are both valid for addition. the US has the F-35B and obviously has put Meteor in its F-35B as you can clearly see in pictures.

the missile is already integrated onto the F-35 and Italy was approved so it would very likely get it

Ah, is that why Eurofighters/JAS39E don’t get AIM-120D? Or why USSR MiG-29 don’t get AASM HAMMER or Su-27 doesn’t have JDAM? It would seem these are not strict rules when deciding what to add where.

Most nations that would have 5th gen fighters will only have 1 at most, with some (e.g., the UK; but seeing how procurement in general for customers of the US is going… it’ll be 1 for a while) having 2.

I see nothing wrong with aircraft getting technical compatible weapons.
For example, look at germany. They get weapons they never bought (r-27er/et/t).
Why change that now?
Why make weapons that are compatible with certain aircraft be excluded from other nations that have that same aircraft?

US F-35s don’t need Meteors. Keep it unique by giving it AIM-260 which should come soon, but that also means that European F-35s don’t get AIM-260s if they integrated Meteors onto it (or are in the process of doing so).
Europe hasn’t actually given an interest in buying AIM-260.
The only export customer so far is Australia.
