What can save American top tier air?

Not being able to be Tracked doesn’t mean that when illuminated chaff wouldn’t have any impact, it would just be much less severe than it is, since it’s injecting the reflected energy from the seeker off to one side, and so would slightly bias the guidance a conical scan seeker such as the Echo Sparrows.

What would actually make chaff entirely redundant would be if range gates & return edge biasing were actually modeled for missiles that should have them.

Also the way around that would be to actually implement ECM (both podded and integrated) and proper off-board Decoys.

To kinda side track, what was that drone that could basically turn its RCS into a buff, f16, f15?

Sense the f22 is compatible and about 28 years old. I imagine we might be able to get some form of it for most modern aircraft right?

ADM-160 MALD? ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

That might be the one. can’t remember well tbh lol.

Welp, new F-16c is probably mid and No new CAS loadouts for the US in general. Wow.

US might never recover now even with F-22 if the AMRAAM stay how they are. My last hope is AIM-260 now

more range won’t save you if the thing doesn’t turn either

peregrine will be insane if it is ever officially tested and added to the game

not quite top tier air, but it would be very cool if the American AH-64E got access to its way uprated T901 engines with 3000+ hp each

@tripod2008 do you think it could happen?

Can you establish that the T-901 had been flown on the AH-64 platform?

Indicates that it was still in the planning phase, to begin a pilot program in Fy29, but was planned to deliver 3850 SHP [Pg # 43] after all improvements to the Turbine, Rotor and Drive Train are complete.

As it seems like ITEP was canceled due to the planned FARA airframe falling though.

Though it had been deployed on two test SH-60s. It’s likely to be held in reserve for a potential Interim AH-64F configuration should the Army be interested in future.

“fits like a glove”

it has flown on another aircraft, which is something at least

The monkey paw curls. You get a worse JDAM in the last day of the dev server.

Well, it should have a better glide ratio but you get less of them (for some airframes).

Also if we ever get submunitions and dispensers implemented the BLU-108 is certainly no slouch.

And if we ever need it;

Development of the Joint Stand Off Weapon (JSOW) Moving Target Capability: AGM-154 Block Three program

Don’t think there’s need for that. F15GE has better kill ratio than the Rafale in both RB and SB and tad worse WR in RB and much better WR in SB. US surely doesn’t need saving. Removing Irondoming would make F16CM much more viable as well, so the US is doing quite well.

Forgot about this topic completely, but where did you get that static from?

Well at least US is not the worst air nation anymore thanks to Chinese missile nerf

Ah, I must be looking at over all state then, considering how much iron dome meta has changed top tier in past few months, i am not that surprised. I guess US would do good until next gen IR/ARH missile are added
