At 14.0 i doubt it would be bad unless Aim-120Ds are given the same treatment as the Cs. We don’t know the BR/120D performance yet, and it’s too early to call something DOA.
Oh yeah imo 14.0 with 120B&C-5 would be the best outcome.
However I fear that Gaijin will just simply be: 120Ds = auto 14.3 or even 14.7.
Similar to how 120C-5 = minimum 14.0.
rn everything looks like in game 120D is gonna just be 120C with longer battery life and no IOG drift
I won’t be surprised if it would be added just like that to live server as well
@D4nger_CLO5E channel.
bvvd himself said this, so everybody dont get your hopes up. its going to be the same garbage
We will have to see :/ but I’m a glass half full guy :)
i was a glass half full guy a year ago, now that glass has dried up, im tired of america being terrible, which it has been for a year + now
It is sad to hear that.
Starting to feel the same
Don’t lose hope. We still have AIM-260 that might make into production someday…
after what theyve done to the aim120 i dont care about whatever happens with aim260. im sure aim120d3 will be just as butchered.
hell im looking forward to r33 and r37. im sure both are going to be extremely good and actually modelled properly differently from aim54.
its very funny too you got the r40s which is are maneuverable than aim120s right now lmao.
Aim120D’s definitely got the C-5 treatment. Check my recent message in the aim120thread
The AIM-120 'AMRAAM' - History, Design, Performance & Discussion - #1788 by tripod2008
Aim260 has been in production. For years. The AF has about 400 the navy is 300~ I believe
So AIM-260 has entered service or is it still under testing?
It’s slated to enter service this year according to a recent funding document
It’s been Type Classified, and likely reached EOC, but not yet IOC. Entry to service is normally considered the IOC date.
That’s good to know.
Yea it’s straight up ready to enter service
The ID code is A stating it’s service ready
300~ just for the airforce
There is one redeeming thing in what he said there. That the GNSS feature they gave to it will apparently allow it to hit the target as long as the shooter plane can keep radar lock even if the AIM-120D cannot see the target anymore in terminal guidance?
Which isn’t the case for the AIM-120C in game. Once the missile onboard radar activate, guidance from the plane is not taken into account.
If this is true, this will make the AIM-120D really powerful since AESA radars are super hard to notch and you’ll have to notch both the plane radar and the missile.
So a fox 1 and fox 3 combined together
