Maybe not the strongest but there is the j15t
why does it say the F-15E has 10 AAMs? and why does it say the F-15E had DEWS?
im guessing triangle config like the 65D style
never seen or even heard of them doing that before
Even then… how a older but dedicated EW aircraft would compete against brand-new EW but intergrated suites like ECRS Mk2/Praetorian and Arexis and thus which is better is a debate to be had but with no good sources of info, it would be near impossible
I think we will, I think we could see it sooner rather than later actually, but its probably gunna be fairly generic, on the systems where more information is available, such as older ones like Sky Shadow or ALQ-101, there might be more detail, but for more modern stuff, its probably gunna be fairly universal, which means that, outside of dedicated EW aircraft (if they are added) it might not help the US that much
im guessing its like a feasible modification thing, its not in service or shown irl because it was not needed or irrelevant since mrml exist in that manners
It could be the strongest. It literally a dedicated EW plane
doesnt explain the F-15E being claimed to have DEWS
Its very much possible. Its a dedicated EW jet
[
EW system on EA-18G are being upgraded from 2021 IIRC so its not old
In that case fair enough, best I could find was that it was from 2008 ish, and couldnt see any info for more modern upgrades, but if it has recieved upgrades then it probably would be stronger, though I wouldnt discount SAABs Arexis on the Gripen E from being too far behind, they have a reputation for their EW systems
- It entered service in 2009.
In terms of fighter jet and not dedicated EW jet it indeed would have one of the best EW system in game if gaijin does not model all EW of different jets same
well idk about that one
Because i have just now seen this thread i want to give some input on it, personally i don’t think anything can save US air that isn’t a fifth gen, and even then 5th gens wouldn’t do all that much to save it. You can have larger maps to utilize longer range weaponry but the US doesn’t have long range weaponry, the AIM-260 is in a terribly rough area and has been in testing for years with support wavering. the AIM-174b is only fielded on the 18E and the middling performance of the hornet drags it down significantly so the 174 doesn’t even get as much range as theorized and loses out on crucial energy.
Honestly i don’t think there is anything that can reasonably save US air short of raptors with 120D’s and 9x block 3, and even then a Eurofighter could just locate it because PIRATE can immediately find it while the AESA can highlight its position and brute force the stealth. Raptor launches a missile? well the Eurofighter can just defend and the raptor has just given up its position, EURODASS can instantly detect the missile and you can defend from multiple kilometers away with more than enough time.
and the moment the F-22 starts locking the Typhoon, the Typhoon should be able to fire a missile based upon the RWR contact if im not mistaken. (if that gets modeled)
Honestly yeah, irl USA focused a lot on very long range combat and that wouldn’t matter too much in game
though the Irony is that they’ve had some of the shortest range ARH missiles for a while now :D
aim120d-3 perfomance is not known
Yup that’s quite funny, though there’s aim-174 and aim-260 soon tm
It might be, but still likely a lot less than Meteor
depends on what figures you take for meteors. ramjet increases Nez but its not much better for outright range than conventional motor missiles. its likely not enough to make up for the stealth on 5th gens(which is not going to be a factor ingame if ARB doesnt change). which as far as im aware no country has integrated meteor on f35s yet, which isnt as big an issue irl but it is ingame.
