Irl yes , in wt it looks more like they found a βcheaperβ way to simulate the synchronisation. Iirc they reduced the rpm of all cannons not located in the propeller hub. In theory the outer pair of MG 151/20s in a Fw 190 A-8 has a higher RoF than the inner pair.
What the linked wikipedia article and the linked videos are missing are the challenges to ensure the mechanical precision whilst achieving a high rate of fire. The fact that electrical primed ammunition helped a lot to get there is not mentioned.
