What Aircraft are Sweden in Most Need of? "The Wishlist" (Air forces)

What Aircraft are Sweden in Most Need of?

More fighters, bombers, attackers, or interceptors?
More domestically produced designs (Saab, FFVS, etc.)?
Some copy-paste aircraft to fill gaps, planes from Norway, Denmark, or Finland?

Feel free to share your thoughts on what the tree is missing, what aircraft you’d like to see added, and why.
You can also guess what might arrive in the next major update.

This is just a light-hearted wishlist – nothing too serious. Please keep the discussion respectful and open for everyone’s ideas.

I think this is what should’ve been in place of the J34, which should’ve been foldered with J32

There was a J34 with a Afterburner:

What Sweden needs are good aircraft

An Unborked Gripen would be a start.

A competent ground attacker before 7.0 would also be cool.

JAS39NG/E.

We need a true top tier contender that can challenge other jets, it will also be good CAS option compare to C model.

“Sorry, we don’t believe this dedicated pylon exists so you are not getting any ground ordnance on it”

Or alternatively “We do not believe these hardpoints facilitate air to ground munitions”.

It should be good, but at this rate I’m convinced they don’t want Sweden to have a half competent air to ground platform.

Remember, paperwork is nice, but beliefs are concrete 😿

I think gripen gettting that extra bomb pylon would be nice.
I am kinda scared of how they’ll model the gripen e, if it’s literally just going to be a better gripen c, then considering how the gripen c is most likely already over performing, then gripen e would probably be reaching eurofighter like fantasy in fm.

Congratulations, you’ve worked out that Gripen E is one of the Eurodeltas and can go toe to toe with other Eurodeltas. Which do have generally accurate flight models, arguably underperforming documentation in some settings. Gripen C is also underperforming in a myriad of aspects. They still haven’t patched the weird energy retention of Gripen tho.

C underperforms significantly in terms of time to climb to high altitude and acceleration.

Considering how much eurofighter most likely overperforms (gaijin somehow convinced themselves it would meet requirements even though it gained around 700 kg and the only requirement that was actually met for sure was like sustained rate at like 5k feet with no afterburner), I don’t think it’s good for balance to have planes that are this far ahead of everything else in fm

It matches the documentation available to the masses in most aspects.

Great, should have spoke up at the time yanks were telling everyone to just make something better. Now the better things are getting added, it is unfair? They are being added matching the available documentation to the best of the game’s ability to model it, and whilst generally we should have left them for a bit to develop mechanics like ECM, the flight performance matters in very few aspects.

That’s the thing, the eurofighter gained like 700 kilo grams, got structural changes and somehow still met the projected estimates for a 700 kg lighter fighter with no thrust increase? I doubt it

If you want this argument, go to the EFT thread. I don’t like the plane, and I won’t be defending it outside of highlighting that it is being added with respect to credible sources. I’m sure the EFT folk will drown you in papers showing it should actually perform better.

The F16 from Norway looks like a good choice.

And Gripen E will be able to stand out as a leader among the fourth generation fighter jets.
