What air tree should i grind?

I want good props and jets but also not an insanely long grind.

For props. Can never go wrong with British TT. Spitfires and Hurricanes are a blast. The tree gets a little weak around 8.0-9.0 and doesnt really get good again until 12.0 however. But the late game stuff is all pretty fun

Personally I would recommend Britain, early game great turnfighters but meh weapons force you to learn trigger discipline and aim, late game they are a great challenge despite still being good, they just have a different playstyle, despite dropping off.

I actually adore some of the vehicles between 9.0 and 12.0, for example the Tornados and the Harriers, Jaguars and the likes!

I dont necessarily have anything against them. But between compression and very old bugs. The fun stuff is more the exception than the rule.

Like I want to really enjoy the Hunters, but the Hunter F1 just doesnt feel fun in all the uptiers and the SRAAMs are just a let down on the Hunter F6.

Harriers have their whole host of problems

Jags are amazing fun in SB, but a little dodgy in RB. etc etc.

I purposely left them out of my previous comment for a reason :sob:

They do, but if you ignore them and just play it like an F-104J then you’ll be fine! ahaha seriously though they’re so joyous to fly despite not being the best.

I only play prop sim, so can’t speak for SB but I find them very very good in RB, specifically the first one. 2x 9G is nothing to be laughing at at 9.7, and it pulls a lot of AOA if you do it properly so you can use it as an F-104 that can jerk the nose round to take a quick shot people don’t expect!

What do yall think of France?

80% of the tree is pretty lackluster but the jets at like 10.7+ are nice

although below about 8.0 youre basically just playing britain or america,
honestly id recommend sweden, small grind but it still has enough variety that its enjoyable, gripen C isnt amazing atm but they’ll get the gripen E soon which should be up to par with some of the other 14.0s if you care about tippy top tier

Ok thanks

USA. Britain you gotta grind more painful while USA have lot more choice to grind while there plane are all good in all BR very fun the play. Britain using painful jet at early jet and your gonna need to grind 3 tech tree atleast to reach top tier minium however if you want the good planes your basically grinding out the entire tech tree just to reach Top tier while USA 3 tech tree is enough and planes are pretty much always very good. Rank 7 British line you gonna need to grind every single tech tree to rank 7 to unlock Rank 8. So i recommend you stay away from british tree if you want fast grind.

I’d never recommend Sweden to anyone playing air, just because almost all of the domestic Swedish planes suck in some way. The Gripens, B18s, and some Viggens are the only decent ones.

France is definitely better, and they still have quite a few domestic planes.

The final plane of that tree is going to be the Rafale. I do not have it yet, but have fought against it and watched YouTube footage of it. That plane is real fine…Right before that youre going to have some good Mirages. The IR missiles are going to be in the “Matra” family, first 1s, then Matra Magic 2,…good.
My French tree is only halfway done, because it wasnt one of the original 4 or 5 countries in game. However I do have the prem Mirage and a Marketplace Mirage, and I would judge them as better than average.
There tree is frustrating for a minute, but wont that just make you better?
Mate if I knew what I knew now, I would just get on the French tree, and grind it until the end, then its supreme. LOL

I have planes all the way up to BR 14 or so in different countries and they were the final result of a good “Grind” lol.
When its all said and done, I tend to enjoy BR 4 to 10.7 now, those seemed to be the most FUN of all for me.

They might be slightly worse, but they are different and odd and that is what makes them interesting in my opinion.

It’s a solid choice for players who have already played through 3+ air trees and want something odd and quirky :)

I was just thinking to myself the other night how accurate and potent the Hispano cannons are,…if you know how to fly,…you can be very successful down the British tree. I was flying a BR 5.7 Spitfire Mk ? when this thought occurred to me.
A successful tree yes, a fast one to go through no, to stay on topic…a lot of planes to go through.

Yeah, hispanos shred if they are working correctly

The hardest part of the British TT imo, is going from the 20mm Hispanos to the 30mm ADEN. All your muscle memory just becomes worthless and you have to practically have to learn how to aim from scratch

Swedish props are quite mid
