What about a Kuwait/Gulf War map?

So i was recently thinking something: the median year of introduction of all the vehicles in War Thunder is starting to approach the mid to late 90s,and while everyone here welcomes the addition of any vehicle regardless of the Year of Introduction,the same can’t be said about maps

Sure,every update we get either some new maps or old maps are revamped (or both),but we are lacking historical maps for more modern conflicts

The upcoming update (Firebirds) will have 4 vehicles that served during the First Gulf War, something that from my memory has never happened in a single update:

  1. The F-117A first deployment was during the First Gulf War (technically it was the Invasion of Panama,but that was a skirmish compared to the Gulf War)
  2. The F-15E Strike Eagle was first deployed for this war and it performed quite well,mainly delivering laser-guided bombs and being the primary jet for conducting Scud Hunting operations
  3. The FV107 Scimitar also served, although in limited role,to the war
  4. Finally,the Osa-AK served under the Iraqi Armed Forces as an anti-air and anti-missile role

With this in mind,and considering that even in the teaser trailer a reenactment of Operation Desert Sabre is taking place to showcase the F-117,i think it’s time for the game to have at least a single map depicting the First Gulf War
POSSIBLE IDEAS
The easiest one to do would be an Air Battle map:easy to create and most importantly easy to adjust in size for bigger modes (such as EC). Even a map depicting the Kuwait-Iraq border would be more than enough in size for gameplay purposes.

For Ground battles, things gets harder since ALL of the tank battles fought during the Gulf War were mainly fought in a mostly-open space with little to no verticality. And we know that these kind of maps are not welcomed in the game nor they’re easy to balance.
I’ve been conducting some research into the historical landscapes of Kuwait so that i have enough sources to submit a suggestion,but sources are scarce. The most doable battles that can be put into the game are:

  1. The Battle of the Bridges
  2. Battle of Al-Khafji
  3. Battle of Kuwait City
  4. Battle of Rumalia

So yeah,i think that this might be a good idea,what do you guys think?
