I wouldn’t be lying if i said that if snail adds the EFT AESA in the state they are right now we would see the case way worse than was the case with addition of Rafale. Right now EFT AESA has gimbals of 200 deg by 200 deg, which translates to them being able to notch anyone and launch missiles at the same time without exiting the notch. I propose we limit that radar artificially to 140x140 deg before similarly capable planes would come to most nations(Su-35S RU, Su-35 CN, Gripen-E SWE etc)

Nah, let it have its full gimbal, it shouldn’t be 200x200 electronic scan, but otherwise should be able to take advantage of its full gimbal limits.

EFts still only have amraams.
The rafale still is way worse cause the MICA is busted,
Radar can be as good as you want it. But the missles are thing that shape a plane the most at the end.

Besides that genius the gripen e is coming as well.

As someone who has played all of the top airframes, unless there is a fundamental change in air rb and ARH missile mechanics so BVR is viable, the Rafale will remain the best plane at top tier. even things like the f-22 may not dethrone it, depending on how they are implemented.

ok so i checked it currently has a max 70-30 scan just with a wider gimbal limit so in terms of actual awareness its not much greater than the f15ge or su30

Yes and they should revert it back to what it was now that we got top tier SPAAs for everybody. It’s basically unuseable.

Tunguska’s radar lowkey is more reliable than the Pantsir.

I care only about the fact of adding Pantsir exclusively, and it’s an only example, most famous one. Same stuff happened to fnf heli missiles, guided munitions and so on. Minor nations always sucked, so there’s nothing special in AESA nerf, it won’t change anything.
