We seem to get an aiming reticule inside about 3000 yards, which I presume is for the pom poms, though no firing solution is generated for swatting pesky Pe-8s out of the sky?
Americans had something similar with the Mk37.
Seems pretty odd that level bombers pose the greatest threat to capitals when they never once hit a manoeuvring target in real life. Single Japanese DD and a few vessels in port were the only casualties. HACS was designed specifically to counter these and torpedo bombers.
I can understand that turning British and American capitals into fly swatters on automatic engagement of secondaries would be a very iffy thing gameplay wise, though surely we should get at least a rough fire control solution if we take manual control or from most DD’s main armament?
