We need a laser projection angles range indicator in third person

We need something that looks like a missile launch range limiter indicator to show the angles we can aim at and prevent the missile from losing the laser designator during flight.

i mean,… Laser is given by the Pod,… the Pod is known in terms of limitations,…

if all you want is like a UI line to prevent you from Rolling 360° in an aircraft,… then draw it on your screen,…

you’re doing A2G and you expected the laser pod to be useful 360° in every axle?

Im not sure what you mean by the laser, but there is a UI for missile launch range indication already in game

If im not mistaken, so long as the long line is between those 2 markers and the cross is inside the box. it should in theory be able to hit the target.

Though I dont know if this is on everything, but it is on any AGM i’ve used at least.

(just wish the given range used the “Distance” unit of measurement and not the “altitude” unit of measurement)

i think he wants the TGP limits to be more clearly shown in TPP. iirc there is a box however it is not too visible in some circumstances

but i guess what he wants is to have that UI in 3rd person view,…

and that doesn’t really make sense, as you can drive your AGM out of the box, once it’s launched (if not too fast)

my guess is that his trouble come from using Laser guided AGM while defending SAM

i mean that it could be better if it can show me how the limits works in my third person view, it too hard to control the aircraft at the airborne targeting pod view, something just like the drone view while driving the tank. sorry my description is not very accurate.
i hope that if my pod has 60° limits, it can show a UI that tell me which is in 60° and which is out of my 60°.

well most of the TGP pods today have a lock in function,… and it’s quite easy to test out at which angle your aircraft break lock,…

i know it’s not an UI integrated to the game,… but if your trouble is to maneuver with TGP and Laser guidance active, you should choose between those 2 :

  • limit your course until the drop is complete (low survival rate)
  • break the lock for your own survivability (low kill rate from the dumped weapon - if they have no GPS/IOG system = 0.00001%)

those are the reason why most modern armies in the world have switched to FnF capable weapons.
