Warthunder Crashing During Loading Screen into a match

So I recently Started playing semi-actively again, i have about 2.3k hours at the time of writing this, Never once had this issue.
My Specs:
4080 super on latest driver
128Gb DDR4 memory
i7-11700k with a slight OC
windows 11

I recently OC’d my GPU slightly just to see if it would be stable in games, mainly just out of curiosity, Used NVidia’s autotuner, and it gave me abt 130 extra mhz for my GPU clock Speed. Launched warthunder later that night, and found that my game would sometimes crash whilst loading into a match, The first time it happened, i didn’t think much of it, Then i realized it was pretty consistent, maybe 1/3 games i try to load into it would crash. Once i noticed this i immediately Reverted my OC, But the problem persisted. What i at first thought was a GPU OC issue, Because im aware OCing is prone to causing instability in games, Once it continued after my OC had been reverted i realized i didn’t actually know what to do.

When it crashes it just pops up a window says FATAL_ERROR Exception, I couldn’t find any kind of .txt based diagnostic log from my VERY brief peek into the game files, i found a game_log folder with a Metric ton of files, but i dont know how to open .clog files.

I have verified my files, and i have deleted the contents of my cache folder (the one located in the main game directory, in case there is more than one) as an old reddit post i found said clearing it could resolve some issues, i also verified my game files afterwards incase i wasn’t supposed to deleted the entire contents of the cache folder

Strangely enough, Whilst playing with a buddy, after my crash, i am able to load back into the match without issue

Probably should specify that my CPU has been OC’d for about 2 years, and should not be the cause in this case

I had the crashing issue for a few days, then it suddenly just disappeared. Not exactly sure what is going on because I did not take any steps to fix it it just went away on it’s own.

Edit: Naval Crashes 100% of the time, Regardless of whether its my first time loading into a match or rejoining, Tried it about 7 times, crashed everytime.

Try clearing the contents of the compiledShaders folder from the game folder, like the cache folder, and reverify files and try again maybe.

Okay, Just Cleared my compiled shaders folder and verified, still no luck

Going to try uninstalling and reinstalling, Highly Doubt it will actually do anything, But its worth exploring every opportunity

A better one could be to completely clear the game settings, resolution and all and see if that’ll make a difference.

Like, rename the war thunder folder in the my games folder in my documents, check the %appdata% and %localappdata% war thunder related folders too.

(These folders wouldn’t be cleared out in a reinstall IMHO)

Well, update, I fully reinstalled WT and it seemed to fix the issue, ive done about 5 games in a row without crashing. Will update this thread if i have more trouble. BTW when i say reinstall i dont use the conventional method, I went into the game root folder and deleted the entire thing, then uninstalled and reinstalled it
