The fix was made based on this report which only included the graph mentioned. Thus was fixed based on that.
The others were only added via comments at a later date after the report was already forwarded and fixed. They are already within the newer dev server report.
Great
Just great
So snail got the report with ballistics data and actuall blueprints, fixed something as it sees fit, discarding math and blueprints(i mean, anyone who can read blueprints can calculate volume of shell and then use simple Volume x Dencity = Mass) because “man it’s 5 not 6”
Then it got MORE data that states different mass
And after that snail decides “it’s fixed, deploy it” without changing anything
Man, the review process of my homework in high school was better than this “bug fixing”
And yeah, about “new reports”. I have accepted bug reports that are 3 years old. I don’t see any reason to go to archives and search for info in a foreign language just to see nothing after years
I’m having screen tearing problems on the Xbox Series X, it’s horrible, there’s no fluidity in screen movements and it freezes a lot, cutting the screen.
Yeah, I agree about how often the changes happen. I REALLY hope these new ones stay now (and are only polished a little bit further, if needed.)
I have to say that this batch of sounds is my absolute favorite of them all, for the entire 11 years that I have been playing. I really hope they stick with these ones, and only make slight changes if absolutely necessary. These are the most pleasing and imo most realistic sounds I have heard in WT.
I agree the sounds are nice, but the RWR seems incredibly quiet now? Even at 100 with everything else between 20-70 I can hardly hear it over anything else in the game.
Yeah when It got “wrongly” fixed we can expect to be it fairly quickly “repaired” as it should be.
Beside this, report that states the shell got wrongly corrected on DEV was actually accepted too and still nothing changed.
Now we can assume next change in this topic will occur in the next 3-4 years basically.
This is the second report of a “proximity” sound being a bit too quiet. Good feedback!
First “report” I saw about prox volume level being a bit to “distant” (this one is about ground battles):
EDIT: More reports:
Note for Devs etc: IF this is being reported for multiple game modes and various “proximity” sounds/warnings, I wonder if there is a “distance” error in the code? Instead of just a “volume” level issue? Just wanted to suggest an alternative solution/fix rather than just increasing the “volume” level before the code itself is checked.
I REALLY like these sound effects, please keep them permanently now, and only work on polishing etc. I have never liked a batch of sound effects in War Thunder as much as these ones. Thank you!

Surely Tiger II (Early) would have been better. We don’t even get block numbers for aircraft anymore in favour of “Early” and “Late”, and this actually makes sense to be labelled as “Early” as there’s no official specific designation, and “Nr 1-50” is just extremely clunky
OMG guys!!! You can never leave the sounds in PEACE!!! Always “improving” them then fixing them then “improve” again and so on!
The soundstage now seem like i play in a small studio room! Not realistic at all! The sounds are the same like watching a replay on 8x speed. No space, only boom boom , no engines sounds from all that noise! Everything seems like was reworked just for EFFECT. Explosions and more explosions. Like you’re surrounded by firecrackers … in your helmet.
Yeah that’s a dealbreaker for me. The battlepass already pretty much forces us to grind and now you’re making the already long grind considerably harder to complete.
I am voting with my wallet. If this change isn’t reverted, I’m sure to never buy even a single day of premium account anymore. And honestly if things are going to remain or become any grindier (as they have been in the recent times) I’m probably just going to quit the game outright. While I’ve liked the game, the semi-mandatory grind is the least fun part of it.
EDIT:
Here’s a great example why this nerf is absolutely horrible.
Sure, I was able to get the award, but imagine I didn’t exist in this game and the scoreboard was as it is. Previously both 7 kill players would’ve been eligible for the award, but it would’ve been rewarded only to maruk68 due to higher mission score. Now after the update neither of them would be even eligible while they still would’ve battled each other for it. Not only you need absurdly high amount of kills but you also have to battle other players for it.
A disgusting idea to increase the rates by ~67% for ground RB and 50% for naval RB.
Am I missing something? How is reducing the required number of kills for these awards harder/bad? (And specifically as it relates to the Battle Pass.) Please explain because I don’t understand why there are multiple complaints in the thread about this change. Thx.
EDIT #1:
OH! Derp, math is hard 😂 I see now, thank you for the info. Ok, yeah I understand why people are taking issue with this change:
Quotes explaining that the retirement went DOWN for Arcade, but UP for Realistic + Sim:
EDIT #2:
I think an adjustment based on BR would be very reasonable (especially for RB + Sim.) I can absolutely get 10+ kills with my < 9.3 BR lineups. Much harder once you get to 10.3/10.7+
