Not really its all about Garford now. The A7 dominance generated alot community hate with several nerfs on the spot. They even remodeled parts of it with just contructional steel and did everything that all 18 crew can be reliably oneshot by Chamonds or two shot by the 76mm ‘Granata’ :)
But if that russian milktruck dominates, hardly any negative feedback.
Couldn’t resist, still playing the mode. They must have stealthbuffed it. Last time I noticed, its top speed wasn’t 36 km/h off road. Its an insane ratting machine.
Let’s just ignore the A7V is still practically the only vehicle that can survive 2-3 shots from the Garford (besides another Garford), has a vastly more potent APHE shell than anything the Entente gets, and it only became a problem for Empire players when it started doing the same thing it did to Entente to them…
Yes the A7V is still much better than every other tank. However, I much prefer getting killed by one rather than by a ratty OP truck that has nothing to do in this event at all
Whatever you say. Now your Chamonds and Marks get nuked by german beute trucks, which are zooming though the No Man’s Land with over 30 km/h, with 4 secs releoad lol. But as I said comm is tunnelvisioned to German tanks.
A7V is still king of the mode, but yeah Garford is 2nd place. Then Chamond since it can be one tapped by anything even Garford frontally but it is pretty mobile and has a good gun. Then the Beutepanzer IV since it had the upgraded 5.7 cm guns, then the Mark V since it had the worst guns.
Hardly, without the speed and terrain modifier buffs you couldn’t to these stunts. Even through deep mud you still do 15km/h or something. You’re behind their spawn in no time. Except another Garford kills you along the way.
I don’t know what mode you’re playing, but my Gargord can barely reach 20 km/h cruising in a long straight line in the no man’s land off-road, more commonly stuck going 12-16 km/h due to the mud and uneven terrain, even further slowed down if I forget to mow down the various obstacles with mg fire.
It is too mobile in general I agree, but the no man’s land is a considerable slowing factor still.
Even without the speed, there are spots in both nations’ spawns that give pretty decent views of the entire map… From a low enough spot you can just artillery snipe from those.
The people running around in the frontlines with it are annoying, sure, but easily dealt with. One you can’t see, in its spawn, using the rangefinder and binocs to their full potential? Damn near impossible to flush out.
24 km/h in no mans land. If you avoid the muddy craters. Trenches, the wooden barricades and barbed wire dont affect you speed. Once you get out of the trench zone, you’re at 36km/m. They can’t track you in chamonts or something like that.
Final day of the event
I haven’t started grinding yet and considering GE the title.
But It really seems Gaijin was lazy enough to balance the event.
Mark IV/V are still worthless since day 1.
St Chamomd is still one-tapped by everything flys into the frontal armour.
A7V got Nerf twice every day, but it is still the best and solid option if we exclude Garford.
(There is a big difference between getting penned by 76mm Granata and being overpressured by it.)
Gaijin just dropped hilarious buffs to Garford to make this mode balanced.
‘Make only Garford worthy to play.’
I really think day 1 was the best of this event. Ironically.
Germany steamrolled every match with their leopard 2A7V but at least it was filled with WW1 Vibes.
Change this event’s name to ‘Mad Thunder 2.0’
Same wheeled hellhole with same laziness.
At least I’m glad that the grind wasn’t taken longer than last year.
Because collection? Because not everything is about having the most zooming competitive warmachine? Because they are historical and iconic machines of ww1? Because the visual model is great and already in the game.
I fail to see what would be the negative impact for a player.
