Not when you’re 500m away^^ All other guns are too unprecise. However, Chamond is not winning the match, you cant push towards a cap without getting killed.

I really like the idea of this event. It has extremely cool vehicles, most of which you can keep. This is a really good idea. The grind of 5000 points per day is not excessive and I like the general atmosphere.
Balance is not great though. I found it quite frustrating to play as Entente. A7V is the king, but the map is inbalanced too (why not make the spawn random?). Mud fits the theme of course but is not great from a gameplay perspective with such underpowered vehicles.
Also it’s a shame we can’t get the SPAD and Fokker D.VII. Ik hope you will change your mind here, these planes would be awesome in the techtree. Same with the Zep, it could work as a 1.0 bomber, even if mostly for the memes. Would love to see this and it would make the event an instant classic for me!
Although the Dune event, WT 2077 and Tailspin will always remain on top. Hope we can see reruns of these some time.

I don’t think an A7 has any problem with 500m… I’ve been hitting stuff at 1km with the Garford as well.

Thats the view back to German lines, flat.
Thats the foward view towards Entente base, a fortress like slope, good high ground.
Its not very balanced, especially when you consider St Chamond is one of the best hulldown vehicle of the entire game.

What ? Have you actually played it ?
You can’t “hull down” a thing that is entirely a hull but anyway, the gun is mounted so low in the hull that you have to expose 75% of your tank while shooting.
Even if you manage to find a good spot, you’ll need at least 4-5 shells to destroy anything while the ennemy has no problem 1 shoting you since all your crew is packed at the same place

I’ve got the A7V now, love that box!
Not sure who tested this, but Germany is woefully overpowered. Kind of crazy when you consider British tanks in the early war were far superior to Germany, but this game has it all backwards. And don’t even get me started about the fact that the terrain is extremely glitchy because tanks that were designed to cross trenches get stuck crossing very narrow gaps … and cannot seem to climb a 1 meter hill without getting stuck either.

I beg to differ. I’ve won plenty of shootouts in my A7V against St-Chamond even at over 800m distances, usually killing them in 1-2 shots. It is at least a threat though at all distances, unlike the Mark V.
And I don’t even play RB normally.

now you can snipe and nuke the a7v cross map without breaking a sweat.
on another note, today is the first task where players get a permanent german vehicles, and there are a lot of a7vs on regular battle and using the 2c bis is incredibly funny for revenge bullying.
Fix zeppelin gunners gaijin and give us the damm zeppelin

I can’t tell if “fun” was the punchline to this April Fools’ event or like its like deliberate incompetence to say “see, you don’t actually want WW1 vehicles”. I’m reminded of a video of some saleman deliberately using a squeegee wrong seven different times to justify why you should use his product instead. Wack vehicle balance, wack vehicle movement, wack infantry inclusion.
And whats crazy is like the aircraft, which are terrible, are being held for their other game which is a terrible marketing move. “Hey, see these not fun vehicles? Guess what? You can fly them in our other game!” Like why would I if they’re bad here? Honestly, this is just making me want to go play BF1.

St Chamon is super op since the buff. With 78mm pen and good precision you kill everything with 1 shot. You could theoretically use it in rank 1-2 matches in common ground modes. Gajin kind of overreacted a bit and buffed this APHE shell to WW2 levels. Strongest armor WW1: 30mm; Pen St Chamond APHE shell 78mm, more than double, not even angling helps anymore. There’s no chance not to score, except you miss.
Community usually knows whats best :)

it’s a ww1 shell, the 1897 is not very far for the sherman 75mm m3 and even closer, the m3gmc gun that is a 1897a4, aka a modernised 1897 produced by the usa.
